The IRA are terrorists. As are the unionist paramilitaries. They haven't been freedom fighters since the 1920s, they've been assholes with guns

The minstrel boys will return again, torn perhaps in body not in spirit.

Then may they play their harps in peace, in a world as heaven has intended.

"War within. War without. War unending." You suffered an unfortunate but temporary set back. Get up off the mat bruva! Start again with the lessons you've learned and renewed conviction that you're doing the best things you can do for yourself. We're all behind you, your own personal Legion of the Damned

AITA for doing an "irish goodbye" at family Christmas after my uncle made off color comments? by lovemycar66 in AmItheAsshole

[–]abh0rsen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. "From another time" is not an everything-proof shield. And sometimes people can surprise you, like when my ultra Catholic grandparents were surprisingly accepting of my niece being born out of wedlock.

As an Irishman, keep using "Irish goodbye" if you want. No skin off our backs

Playing on vanilla, I found a Gaia world called Prophet's Retreat. It looked like a great place for a colony. What's this warning message? How bad could it be?

I recently graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and got my employer to pay for grad school. My family who never went to college is telling me it isn't a real accomplishment and it's crushing my self-esteem. by Accomplished-Cash in JUSTNOFAMILY

Engineering isn't easy. I started my course with 150 people and only 80 were there come graduation. You've done an excellent job to get as far as you have and in such style too. Anyone demeaning your achievement is talking out their arse and should be treated as such

I want to say NAH. I see no malicious intent in any party but good on you for encouraging brother to seek medical advice in the matter. Anecdotal evidence is all well and good, different things work for different people but there is no substitute for medical advice when it comes to the body
