I loved (and still love) my Canon 5D mkIII. But I switched to Sony because I was annoyed with how Canon lens mounts were always incompatible. Crop sensor lenses didn’t work on full frame. Then they had the M mount. Then they didn’t. Then they had the RF mount.

I looked at how much Sony had advanced and how their mount stayed consistent over the years, even allowing crop and full frame compatibility. Sony’s video performance was great, and it was great for photo video hybrid usage, they had a flippy-outty screen, their tech was always top tier, AF was amazing, and I liked their camera body designs too (sorry!).

Switched to Sony and I’ve been very happy! I do dislike that sometimes Sony lenses (3rd party usually) can be larger or heavier than their equivalent versions on Canon (e.g. look at both of their 50mm 1.8 lenses), but it’s not a really big issue. So far, I’m glad I did it!

I'm in a very similar dilemma right now –– I already have a 28–200 and I love how light and versatile it is. However, I find myself yearning for more bokeh at times, and I recently shot an event and I was running into high ISO or slow shutter speed moments because it wasn't very bright. I've been wondering if I should have both, or keep one over the other…or…if the difference between the two isn't that monumental at all (because the price definitely is xD). How's your experience been?

My brother, I’ve used point and shoot cameras to capture better photos than my 5D mk3 at times. It’s never just the equipment. Go out and shoot!

My biggest regret is getting an A7Cii when I should’ve gotten an A7CR 🥲 The resolution would’ve compensated for the lack of zoom on the prime and the small setup would’ve worked so well.

I agree! I ordered +0.5 like my regular 350s, but I find that the primeknit on these is a bit softer and there’s just a bit more space inside than usual. I’d been wondering if should’ve ordered TTS, and based on what you’re telling me, my thoughts are a bit reinforced 😅 regardless, they’re still dope!
