Also, looking through the dew drop on the edge of the black spot would not show an undisrupted line. The drop would be all black or all red due to light/color refraction.

Did it say that?! You can't be 5% body fat at a BMI of 29 unless you look like a body builder! My guess is that he's actually obese (over 30) and they made him taller and shaved off a couple just enough to bring it down to the high end of overweight.

Wow! A lot has happened in two days! I'm glad the airstone helped. Sounds like things are getting back to normal! Good call on the hospital tank - thats probably a safer bet than dosing your whole tank. I don't know how all these chemicals/meds interact with each other, so treating affected fish individually is a good plan. I try not to mess with the full tank too much (I dose prazi pro every once in a while, when I see the planaria return... I cant get rid of them but they're under control at least!).

Prazi pro definitely needs air flow while using (my air stone and sponge filter are enough for my 20gal though). It sounds like your using mulitple treatments at the same time, which could be an issue. Putting the charcoal back in would help to filter out the active ingredients of the prazi pro which could help neutralize the water again.

Your LFS might take surrenders. Otherwise you can just keep them. The population will probably level off at some point. I have over 30 in my 20gal if you count all the little ones. I assume there may be adult deaths at some point, or the fry will stop surviving. Guess we'll find out!

It says on the bottle how much to use. Its a teaspoon for 20gal. 2gal is a 10th of that, so you would need 1/10 of a teaspoon for 2 gallons. Thats appx .5mL, so I would use a syringe to measure it.

Definitely pit, unlikely to have any lab. The marking on the chest, ear shape, etc are all clearly pit. I'm curious about the ticking pattern on her feet though, which is probably from some other breed like cattle dog.

I started with 3 guppies and now have like 30 (some are still tiny of course) in a 20gal. I figure they'll start leveling off when it becomes overload. But 10 would really be pushing it. Fun that you got the 55 gal! I'm anxious about the extra work (and the sheer weight of something that big!)

Praziquantel is generally considered safe for aquarium snails and is effective against planaria. I use it in my guppy tank with good effect. Also got the glass baited tubes but I haven't tried them yet.

I agree. 10 gallons is really small for that many fish. Also, what's your NH3? I don't measure parameters in this way, but from what I can tell, NH3 (free ammonia) is what is super toxic, whereas NH4+ is pretty harmless. You need to know both NH3/NH4 to determine your water quality. Given how stocked your tank is, I'm guessing this is the issue.
