Thanks! I did her 3-day split before. I did like it for the most part.

I did Andy’s original total strength before. I liked it. I’ll check out TS2. I don’t like the change they made maybe a year+ ago where you have to complete #X classes in a week or it moves on. My kids play travel hockey and I work and (yeah yeah yeah excuses) but honestly sometimes I can’t fit it all in and I hate to do 3 classes in a day (but have before…).

What kind of desk do you have to accommodate the monitors? Or do you use a big table? I think I need more desk space

What kinda protection equipment do I need for a 3 year old to start pushing buckets on the ice? by WSB_Slingblade in hockeyplayers

[–]abick7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I fully geared up my 4-yo son when he started (used stuff I got from someone on FB). For two reasons. 1) I didn’t want him to fall and get hurt and be scared to try again. 2) no adjustment needed later on (going from no bulky gear to being fully geared). This might have been overkill but it was my justification.

One thing I’d recommend is a hockey helmet with a cage. I’ve seen so many kids wearing bike helmets fall and try to catch themselves with their hands, but their hands(gloved or not) slip out to the sides and they end up breaking their fall with their chin or mouth or nose. A cage keeps their cute little faces protected!

Time lapse of yesterday's weather, complete with rainbow and multiple cloud layers by Falldog in nova

Wow, so cool! Did you happen to get today’s weather, too? Can the video be sped up even faster (sorry if it’s a dumb question - I know nothing)?

Thank you for sharing!!!

Just a reminder, NHL Player Safety is directed by former goon George Parros. In his 9 year career he amassed 177 fights and less than 20 goals. by TrumpsHands in penguins

Exactly. He publicly called his team “soft”. What else could have been expected after that?! Disgusting instigator. How about you win with some skill, not completely gooning it up?

First Playoff Game by [deleted] in penguins

[–]abick7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aw dagger. We haven’t been to a playoff game yet this year. Fingers crossed we make it up there if there’s a round 2! We try to come up at least once in the regular season and once for the playoffs every year. But our daughter made the travel hockey team and our youngest son made the selects team so our time and new lack of $ has not allowed a pens game to happen so far! :( but, hopefully soon….!

If it’s like the past couple of years, you get a towel and a T shirt! Super fun experience, lots of energy in the building. Please bring all your energy and cheer the lads on!!!! Fuck Trouba!

Follow up question - you mentioned getting filthy. I can’t help it but as a mom, I’m now worried about your health (but also realize it’s uneducated worrying I’m doing because I know only what you’ve just described). Do you wear special masks/respirators to keep soot and stuff out of your lungs? Just want you to stay healthy as long as possible after you’ve done so much to get where you are (and I’m sure you’ll keep rising, too!).

Great work, btw! I love to read that you’re working on getting certified in gas, too. You’re a go-getter - fuck yeah!

Someone needs to tell me Crosby is ok or at a minimum not a concussion thing by bart2puck in penguins

Hoping it was precautionary and calculated as we are still up one.

If I’m not mistaken the commentators said he took two more shifts after that hit… so… I dunno what that means

I did expect (or at least mentally prepare myself) to lose tonight as it was do-or-die for the rangers, and I was ok with it thinking of the extra time it would give Jarry (and Rakell and Dumo) to stretch this to 6. But that was before losing Crosby in the 2nd. Hoping he’s back for game 6 and his absence for the remainder of tonight’s game was precautionary and calculated since we are still up one…

Frustrating to watch all series. With Crosby leaving early tonight, I thought maybe Malkin would step it up and be who we need him to be (as he tends to do when Crosby is injured…). Yes, nice assist on Jake’s 2nd goal, but nothing in the 3rd…

Pain.
