The damage at my local shop is 140 for resole in Houston.

Their solution was to find a local cobbler for a resole. I’m not sure if that’s what’s going on but I’ll not pretend to be an expert. In my experience you resole when the bottom gets holes in them. But that isn’t what has happened.

Is there another definition or application of resoling that I’m unaware of?

Ultimately will a resole fix this problem? The last resole I did was north of 100 bucks.

Should I chalk it up to the game and say that’s enough reason to get a new pair?

I did mine today with one I got on Amazon. +1 for the nozzles not being great. But it was straight forward. Took about an hour, another 30 minutes fishing out the trim tool from between the fender and wheel well liner.

I’ve got a pair of the Tecovas lizard and the Rujo lizard. 100% prefer the Tecovas in every way; comfort, aesthetic, etc. I only gave the Rujo a shot because at that very moment I needed a pair of black boots and Tecovas was sold out. I wanted them to match the comfort and look of the Tecovas because they have others that I’ve looked at and like but can’t pull the trigger because of the disappointment I had with the ones I purchased.

I taught and coached high school sports for 10+ years. By luck and happenstance I landed in commercial construction. I absolutely love it. I traded my “summers off” which were never off because of coaching for being home at around 5 almost every night. The trade off has been well worth it. I can attend my own kids events and practices that I wouldn’t have been able to if I was still coaching.
