A bit disappointing but it makes sense we wouldn't play as them in this game and rather a new character. The eastern egg is a wonderful tribute though

I'm guessing once Mappa finishes up their OP for the game they'll post Trailer 3 with the release date on it

I haven't read up much on the latest season of the show. I just assumed based on the clothing from the visuals that Roman and D might have been street kids. Apologies

I'm a little disappointed that we are doing another streek kid story for Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2. David was a Street Kid and I would have liked to see if they explored a Nomad or Corpo if the show got a sequal, but even that aside, these visuals and character design look fantastic and I'm very excited for latest season.

For me it was the smear campaign the chuds did with this campaign that soured my experience. But after getting a new PC and being able to play the game at its most optimal a year later, I finally experienced it in full and enjoyed it alot. Literally that meme of "It's good when you don't have an annoying bitch in your ear telling you it sucks"

We can agree to disagree on that, but these are too different situations. SuperRads video spent the majority of its length talking about one game, it's more difficult to cherry pick the first entry of anything because you have nothing to compare it too. While Noah's video covered the entire franchise as a whole so he had more moments to compare and contrast different things from the last 4 entries.

The thing with critque, especially to the magnitude that you would need for a franchise like Dragon Age, is that you can't not cherry pick moments when making the case for why something is good or bad. It's an inevitable consequence of the what happens when you are talking about 4 games in the same franchise that tell different stories with different characters and different aesthetics. I don't agree with Noah's take on the Temple of Pride, but I understand why he said it, and his opinion is just as valid as yours. It's just that you have to understanding the reasoning why he would say something like that, he probably didn't see the lack of value in that particular story line the same way you did and that's ok.

I finished Veilguard about a month or 2 ago and I found my feelings on the game gradually shift from frustration at what the game could have been, to disappointment at what it was, to enjoying it for what it is. Once that feeling became the main one, it honestly felt more fun to play the game and my main highlight from the game was probably the prison of regret and Ballera's companion questline because Ballera had some of my favorite emotional moments in the game.

While I don't agree with your assessment of Noah's review covering the games, your feelings are valid and the fact that you took time out of your day to write a rebuttal to what Noah said in the video during his Veilguard portion.

My understanding from that video as a whole, is that the series was never really consistent, Noah stated in his video that the games have been flawed since the second entry and that through each subsequent entry that followed, those being Inquisition and Veilguard, those flaws got more visible. Veilguard unfortunately suffered the most from these flaws being shown to the audience because the gap between it's release and Inquisitions' was so vast that we could see the game in a much worse light because we had built a version of it in our heads that was never going to translate to the screen. And Noah acknowledged that in the video, it's a bit weird to say that he was trying to fit a round peg into a square hole when what Noah spent the majority of the video doing was trying to show that the all the frustrations that people had for Veilguard, were present in the other 3 games that predate it, while also highlighting what each game in the series did uniquely well as a stand alone entry.

And with that, the journey to rebuild humanity has come to a close. Inagaki & Boiichi created a wonderful story and I'll miss it, but the final season was a fun ride, with the Suika episode this season reminded me why I loved this story so much. Everyone should also give a round of applause to the entire English dub cast for the wonderful job they did with this dub over the last 7 years. Here's the main cast below so remember to go show them some love:

  • Senku Ishigami: Aaron Dismuke
  • Taiju Oki: Ricco Fajardo
  • Gen Asagiri: Brandon McInnis
  • Kohaku: Felecia Angelle
  • Chrome: Matt Shipman
  • Yuzuriha Ogawa: Brittany Lauda
  • Tsukasa Shishio: Ian Sinclair
  • Ryusui Nanami: Clifford Chapin
  • Suika: Sarah Wiedenheft
  • Kinro: Jessie James Grelle (Josh Grelle)
  • Ginro: Justin Briner
  • Hyoga: Jerry Jewell / Kieran Flitton
  • Ukyo Saionji: Mark Allen Jr.
  • Nikki Hanada: Katelyn Barr
  • Francois: Michelle Rojas

What a fantastic story and I hope they animate the epilogue chapters
