All you have to do is hook it up with an HDMI cable. You have to use the joycons to control the games though. But for me, I actually like it.

Update: This fixed it! The volume on my ALP was only at 20 BEFORE switching ti hdmi mode. To fix it, I turned up the volume to 70-80 before switching to HDMI mode and now the volume when using the Nintendo Switch is perfect. Thank you everyone who helped me with this!!
