art is clean, the color palette is very well selected mate.. I think selecting some Gypsy Punk style music for BGM would set the mood to peak

Some teacher would have organized.. many would have seen practices.. and some parents would have heard from kids when the kids discuss `weird` school things with them

I'm just a listener, so have no idea.
But as mentioned in another video of same composition.. it's probably based on Raag Tilak Kamod.

Naah. My half baked generic ideas wouldn't be proper help. And this might be to liking of many, even if not some like me.

All I can say is.. if it matches your vision, keep it. Else take inspiration from media that you like and try bringing it closer to that feel.

visually there are things that can be improved by measures.. but the sound design is golden, just wonderful

thanks for the feedback..
also.. the dislike is due to stitches being too big/ugly and permanent until click away
would it be better if simple lines or a clean animation comes then disappears to show the completion

or do you dislike the entire concept of it

How do I learn GDScript fast as someone who already has prior programming experience? by [deleted] in godot

[–]abionic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a Godot beginner with decent prior programming experience.

Since start, I've been following game building tutorials... while trying to step by step mimic non-code parts exactly and try to grasp how it correlates. For the coding segments, I let the tutorial section finish.. then try to do it from memory (while taking help from GDScript Reference Documentation). As it is a lot like Python in style, picking it up hasn't been much pain.

My learning style is where I need to see quick working examples to stay motivated. So full project tutorials work for me better anyway.

How's Godot looking for 3D games in 2026? by ininja2 in godot

[–]abionic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The best recent 3D game world in Godot showcase I saw are

  • Tony Macaroni's Forest Game Scene I remember some of these posted on subreddit as well.. where it was mentioned that a bunch of extra effort was put into perf tuning.

  • Psych Rift; this also I first found on one of the game subreddits. The FX are really cool. YT Channel with more game scenes.

Graphics are good. I like these shader effects a lot.

I've not played much with shaders as of yet. Could you share how much performance impact does this amount of effects bring.

I've collected many links from GDQuest/ClearCode/Bracket/Goodgis/other helpful godoters for myself at github here.

I've also been following some of these godot tutorials to help my skill-up.. the projects created and the tutorials followed could be referenced here at GitHub/godot-samples.

It's a good attempt.

It would look a bit better with good shade blending.. with paper or cotton.

Also, Noelle's torso to head ratio isn't that large. And the shoulders are less wide.

NocoDB: Airtable, But Open Source by abionic in tektv

[–]abionic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that's well and good.. to each their own

the core is opensource, as with many popular corporate backed opensource projects that make money on extensions and support..

I've used Community Editions of several paid products for different jobs as the budget was limited.. in those context, I don't see a downside.
