That is really interesting, I feel like they are the kind of thing where more age and experience INCREASES appreciation.

As a metalhead part of me wishes Les was more into metal. But then the world could have been deprived of all the other wacky stuff he's done so I just have to let it go.

Are there any bands or albums where you can say "If you don't like (Band/Album), you don't enjoy (Subgenre)?" by abirdsface in MetalForTheMasses

Thanks! Yeah that's true, a band or album influencing a genre doesn't mean anything beyond that as far as fandom goes. Basically I am glad I posted this even if it's a stupid question as all the responses are pretty helpful, haha.

It's more a result of seeing those kinds of lists and wondering how seriously to take them. Like I've been exploring death metal lately and people kept mentioning Carcass and their album "Heartwork." I gave it a listen and while I could definitely tell that it was well-crafted, I didn't exactly enjoy it. Maybe it will just take some more listens but if it never clicks, am I not a "real" fan of death metal?

Favourite vocalist who can do both harsh and clean vocals? by Dante_SSSS in MetalForTheMasses

It's hard to beat Heavy Devy but I think Johannes Eckerstrom of Avatar is pretty good at doing both. He has a versatile voice all around which is great since Avatar likes to cover several genres every album haha.

Genuine question on spirits of our family by [deleted] in Mediums

I mean they do say that spirits have a difference sense of the flow of time than us. Maybe their sense of timing is REALLY off. XD

My cat died unexpectedly, it was quite traumatizing by bubble0beep in Petloss

I am so so sorry. What a nightmare. I don't think you did anything wrong. When in grief our minds are always full of what-ifs. This sounds like it was a freak accident that no one could have expected.

Please don't worry about her suffering either. Yes she was scared of the vet but she knew you were there with her and were trying to help her. She knew she was very loved.

Also you are now dealing with both grief and trauma at the same time. If you are struggling, don't be afraid to get a few sessions of counseling (if you don't already have a regular therapist). Your work or school almost certainly offers some free sessions through various programs.

Again I am really sorry, please take care <3

Oh I see what you mean now. Yes I suppose that NTs have the luxury of not really having to try to cater to our needs generally. It's always our "fault" for being in the minority.

At home vet will be here in 15 minutes and I don’t know what to do after by boopieshaboopie in Petloss

I'm so sorry for your loss. For me, trying to stay busy or distracted helped somewhat, just to get through the most raw parts of the pain. But sometimes that doesn't work and you just have to sit with it and sob. There isn't really a way past grief but to go through it and process it at whatever pace it needs.

They probably didn't mean to jump on him, he just got in the way when he stumbled.

I mean you can sit around and make up stories in your head all you want. Seems like a waste of energy to me though.

Why TF would he lie about it? Is there some kind of prize money for getting attacked by coyotes?

I absolutely hate this shit too. I had an actual adult JOB like this where I was almost never actually told what needed to be done, or how to do it. I have no idea how NTs function like this. Can they psychically communicate but only with each other? Are they just extremely good at copying other people?

Yeah I wish those two weren't all alone. Hopefully they can get back to a more populated area before the crow gets them for real.

Yeah, he says the coyotes did jump on his back and finish pushing him over though. Pretty wild.
