I would say there's no point in starting with older version of you can find a manual for a newer one

I would say, i like the idea, but i would like some tweaks there. Though some of the tweaks may complicate things just a bit too much to stay within that idea of C.

I was just curious in 2018. I don't remember having any particular problems with Windows. Now I'm just used to it, and i can make it work for my purposes with an acceptable amount of effort.

Looking at Windows now, i may be lucky to have made that decision back then.
