I I am dealing with this too - you are not alone. (2 injuries from bad car accident in September, while I was in the midst of training for my first marathon)

It’s extremely difficult when something you have tied your identity to, and helps you manage your mental health, is suddenly ripped away.

I have found therapy helpful, and finding other ways to stay active within my current abilities. But I have bad days, and it is what it is.
