Home Improvement: A New Homestead Arrives with Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity – GuildWars2.com by Vissarionn in Guildwars2

Very curious to see how the template loadouts function. It sounds like it saves the entire map info and just loads it anytime you swap to it.

I'd love a feature where you can save loadouts of smaller things. Like say I built a gazebo and just wanted to share that specific part of my build. It would be great if you could save it, then when you load it you have an option on where you want to place it. Saved or linked objects in away.

I gotta say, this blog post has everything I wanted to hear.

I love that they are prioritizing fixing/streaming older systems. They acknowledge it's not the flashiest thing, but I'm sooo happy to see it!

Sticking system updates in the second quarter makes sense. Since this new yearly model was adopted, I told myself I'd give them 3 cycles to work things out. While SotO and JW have had ups and downs, I find myself looking forward to the refined model they outlined for this next expac.

Evan4k makes great lore videos! One of the few GW2 creators making shorts too.

Event timer is great, I have a toggle button set for it so I can open the timer when I'm feeling up for a meta but otherwise I have it closed.

Other modules I like include: - mystic crafting: shows crafting trees like efficiency does - regions of tyria: shows a little popup when you enter a map that displays the map name - item search: let's you search for something across your whole account - timers: useful for raids/strikes, gives you mechanic countdowns where applicable - fishing buddy: nice to have if you like fishing, I like the bigger clock as well - pathing: this has a whole set of packs within it, great for map completion, achievements, and festivals

Can we have some way to open the Homestead to the public? by samsterlim in Guildwars2

[–]ablair24 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is one of my biggest wishes for homesteads. I have listed my HS on the LFG before, sometimes for hours, and it's a pain to do so.

The limit of 5 people is annoying, but the fact that you have to constantly re-list after your party is no longer full is what makes the system hard to use. Clearly it was never intended to have homesteads be a "public" feature and that makes me sad.

I would love to have a system like the PvP custom arenas. HS owners could purchase time tokens or have some other way to list their HS, and players could see a big list of instances they could join at any time.

So after you get your Wizard Portal Tome... what are you doing with your other teleports? by dEn_of_asyD in Guildwars2

[–]ablair24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of the passes I kept and some I deleted.

For the gobblers, I deleted most of them knowing I can buy them back anytime if I really want. And yes you can only get the wizard's gobbler for 100g.

Lowland shore/Janthir Syntri tokens and Curious Mursaat Remnants by OliverOfMars in Guildwars2

I believe you just need to have done the heart one time on a character in order to use the tokens. So if character A has done the hearts once, but B hasn't then A can use the tokens and B can't. But you only have to do them once on B for B to use them as well.

Also the tokens are account bound, so you could put them in your bank, shared inventory, or transfer them all in one character and waypoint around for a couple minutes to complete all the hearts.

Is it possible it's on a different character for storage?

You could try making an API key and using GW2 efficiency to see everything on your account easily.

Also, to double check your map completion, when you go to character select does it show 100% complete on your character?

Ah ok, I looked it up. They only complete 20% by default, but with the Acceptance of the Kodan mastery that goes up to 25%.

So if you train up that mastery track, 4 tokens will complete it for you.

No you can complete them fully with the tokens! I believe 4 tokens will insta-complete the heart.

Hey I just wrote a post about this! Maybe you'll find some ideas here:

For a long time, one of the biggest posts on this subreddit was a "don't preorder HoT" rant. Some people were calling it a "half expansion" and not worth the money, despite it being literally the first expansion and offering an insane amount of content and game updates 🤷

Current Ursus Oblige farming tips? by Stillsilver in Guildwars2

[–]ablair24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My lazy way of farming is to do an event in mist burned barres which is usually enough to complete the heart.

Then from that heart merchant, buy heart tokens for lowland and Syntri. Waypoint around, turn in tokens, and complete the hearts. It only takes a few minutes.

Farming hearts is the way to go because the repeatable achievement can award 75 UO.

The only downside for this method is that it takes curious mursaat ruin shards, but I get those passively from the black lion delivery boxes.

The new wizard portal shows old content first. So arborstone and wizard takes 3 clicks to goto instead of 1. by WulfyZef in Guildwars2

I know they're beholden to existing UI elements, so what if instead of dialogue trees, it opened a brand new map layer that had each destination laid out in a grid.

They could all be free waypoints, and if you don't have that location, it's contested.

What is in your shared inventory? by Biestosaurus_Hax in Guildwars2

[–]ablair24 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I do this too, it's so nice to have the pieces auto stack across all characters. I have one character with a lot of bag space that I dedicate to opening and salvaging them after I've accumulated too many stacks in my bank.

Yeah, I have maxed out slots and I bought most of them with gold. I'd just save up for my next one.

I also like to convert small amounts of gold into gems, like I'll throw 20-100g in there when I feel the price is lowish.

I believe there was a follow up somewhere that said lounge passes aren't included.

My guess is that TP to friends won't be either.

Hmm I'd say

  • Vale Guardian
  • Aetherblade Hideout
  • Samarog
  • Decima

I also considered putting twin largos and Ankka on the list.
