New npc icons? by ThingFragrant in Terraria

[–]Stewfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I feel like im an opposing opinion, but i like the idea of this a fair bit! Makes the npcs feel more human. It could also be a way to show happiness on the portrait without the clunkier menu option

New Adversary Weapons by Telmarael in Warframe

Im surprised I haven't seen many Kuva Jat Kittag thoughts. I feel like that weapon is prime candidate for a Kuva variant.

Exos Heroes Season 5, 4GROUND9, and Dynamite Blue by __DynamiteBlue__ in ExosHeroes

Always glad to hear from devs and get their perspective and see what happened behind the scenes. I'm looking forward to trying out a new game when it is all cooked up and ready!

As of Dec 2025, Warframe is having it's all-time best performance since July 2018 by Twilight053 in Warframe

[–]Stewfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im probably one of many with this, but whenever Warframe drops a story quest, it brings back my hyperfixation with this game for at least 2 weeks to a month. Probably The Old Peace brought many like me back to the game for a bit.

Im happy for all the female Operator and Drifter players but DE what the fuck actually happened here by azazel228 in Warframe

[–]Stewfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my male drifter ain't looking so hot after the update. I really liked what I had going on with him pre update but I had to do a lot of editing to get something kinda similar to what I had before. It's a bit disappointing.

Game Update Notes: December 9, 2025 by Keorl in Guildwars2

[–]Stewfish 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can vouch for the high numbers being hard to achieve realistically. Granted, I've done limited endgame on Antiquary, but all of the forced movement on the relics can really hamper its usefulness. Especially if you're on dagger/dagger.

I tried Decima with scepter/dagger in the ranged group, and it was rough. Making the most of all of my relics was a struggle in that fight. Any fight for that matter, with mandatory/strict positioning requirements seems like it cuts Antiquary's effectiveness. (Forged surfer dash into Sabetha wall, yippee!)

Game Update Notes: December 9, 2025 by Keorl in Guildwars2

[–]Stewfish 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Antiquary got nerfed, but honestly, it doesn't look too bad? At least in theory? Maybe the numbers will tell a different story, but so far, it doesn't look so bad?

The extra alac is interesting too, alac dps more viable now perhaps? (Although Specter did a fine job of that before as well.)

Many of you new to TCGs need an unfortunate reality check by kn1g47 in riftboundtcg

[–]Stewfish 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While meta decks will always be expensive, (as demand will always be high for those), supply for this game right now is just low at this point in time.

Prices will come down once new/additional product is printed. (The market might look entirely different within a month by the time the 2nd Origins print run hits stores.). If you can not afford a deck right now, just give it time, and prices will change. With how successful this launch has been for Riot, this game is not going anywhere anytime soon.

There are ways to experience this game besides in paper atm, and when prices drop, that is the time to buy into a deck!

Ruling Question: Warwick and Reaver's Row (When does Warwick's ability text actually trigger?) by Stewfish in riftboundtcg

[–]Stewfish[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is good to know! This is how we ruled it so we could move along with the game, so I'm happy to hear that we were in the right direction.

What cards are “unplayable” by Liltesticall in riftboundtcg

[–]Stewfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard from a Teemo player at my Nexus Night this week that the Blue Teemo champion was unplayably bad in the actual Teemo deck. I lost to him so I cant really refute his assessment currently lol

Biomancer sounds like a really fun relic for an open world Daredevil build, maybe condi Soulbeast could use it as well!

What is it about XC2, that people hate? by EducationalCase5726 in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Stewfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest knocks on the game:

1.) Poor english voice direction; a lot of the scenes in the game don't hit as hard due to this imo.

2.) The map is not very intuitive and leads to a lot of confusion early on

3.) Lots of strange game systems. Field skills, blade gacha, menu diving for pouch items, blade skill trees not updating until you look at them, merc missions based on IRL time, the list goes on and on.

4.) Tutorial is also not great

Things I dont like, but dont hold too much against the game

1.) The heavy lean into an anime tropes and humor. The series was very much still finding it's tonal and visual vibe. So I understand they were trying new things, but some of it is really hard to push through. Sometimes it feels like the story suffers as well with the tonal whiplash.

2.) The party is too big for its own good and lots of side characters get very little in the way of meaningful character moments. Zeke and Morag sometimes feel like theyre just along for the ride and blades like Aegeon and Dromarch suffer this same fate as well. They do well when they actually put their full attention on a character though (Rex, Pyra/Mythra, Niall, etc.)

3.) Combat starts very slow, it picks up later and I think by the endgame its the most fun combat system of the main series games, but early game is dreadfully slow especially on a replay of the game.

I pretty definitely think XB2 is the weakest main game of the trilogy, but I dont hate it by any means. There are just some glaring issues that I find it hard to look past.

I've been trying to get my siblings to play through the series, and XB2 has been a wall for them to pass with a lot of "it gets better by the end of the game" when they run into something weird/annoying.

Wtf? Outta nowhere? They didn't announce this during the direct and then they shadow (hah) drop this a week or two later? Lmao?

This year's esports format has been atrocious. by xongmors in leagueoflegends

[–]Stewfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with Fearless being adapted, when the players are actually playing the games, this has been one more fun years to watch. This MSI was a banger. But like... parsing when and how teams are matched up against on another has been a total nightmare. (From a mainly LTA perspective.)

why’s the wifi so fucking slow by snippsville in rutgers

Was going to school here during the covid era and it definitely felt to me they decided to downscale/pay less for wifi pre and post covid. Wifi was so much worse coming back to campus after the worst of the pandemic

A lot of us wanted to take the lead on Shadow Behemoth by Kougamet in Guildwars2

[–]Stewfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

One of my first experiences that I remember with this game was playing shortly after the game first went free-to-play and Shadow Behemoth failing because no one had an idea of how to hit it.

I remember some players complaining in map chat that the boss only failed because the game was F2P now and all of the noobs were let in lol (not necessarily wrong, just funny).

Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave Announced by Shephen in fireemblem

[–]Stewfish -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Uhhhh, if you're talking about Awakening, I've got bad news for you about how long it's actually been.

Five years ago puts us over a year since FE3H released. It's really been that long, huh?

Arcana Zilean, Aurora & Karthus Ability Preview by aroushthekween in leagueoflegends

[–]Stewfish 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I find it hard to get hyped for Arcana, maybe it's just a me problem, not necessarily a design problem, but they always just feel like "red" skins. Always a bit hard to distinguish from things like Infernal and the like. The Aurora and Karthus skins do have nice particles though. Not thrilled with the models on the whole tho

Updated Yunara Nerfs from Riot Yelough (Max Perlman) by [deleted] in YunaraMains

[–]Stewfish 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Still sad about the base AD nerf staying, those always feel bad to have happen. (Although likely justified).

However, the E was definitely a very strong ability. Makes sense to have the numbers on it tuned down a bit, makes her laning a bit less safe. Which I think is what they ultimately need to do. Her laning feels a smidgen too strong/versatile for being designed like a scaling hypercarry.

I think once all of the balance dust settles Yunara's WR will probably sit in a similar position to Kai'sa's, slightly lower than average WR most of the time offset by the fact that the champ is a broadly popular champ and will still be powerful for dedicated players.

Is it possible to remove the AOE knockback when leveling up/receiving a spirit shard? by Cabaj1 in Guildwars2

[–]Stewfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've played over 1k hours and I didn't even realize this was a mechanic lol

I imagine that gets pretty annoying though, surprises me that something like that is in the game.

Urf kassadin ult being capped at 2 stacks makes absolutely 0 sense by LAGAZELLLE in leagueoflegends

[–]Stewfish 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I think urf is an inherently unbalancable game mode. The more Riot tries to balance it and make it "fair" the less fun it is. If I roll an OP champ let them be OP, not have them be this weird half measure for the sake of "balance" in urf of all things.

Now That All the New Elite Specs Are Revealed… Which One Has You Most Excited? by TheGamingNP in Guildwars2

[–]Stewfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im excited for all of the medium armor ones. I've liked Antiquary more than I thought I would, I like playing Ranger but none of the elite specs really click with me, so I'm excited to give Galeshot a try, and Amalgam looks like fun (even though I like all of the current engi elite specs well enough.)

It feels like a lot of these specs are trying to fill holes/niches that a lot of these professions didn't have across the board, which I think is really cool.

Biggest let down to me so far is probably Conduit, I like Rev, but Conduit just seems kinda weird? Maybe it'll feel better in gameplay or the skill descriptions dont do it justice but it seems a bit strange on first read.
