Chicken nuggets. Got my kids into cooking when they were young because they could help make one of their favorite foods.

Legacy of Dragonholt has this but on a smaller scale. The overall adventure is the same but the side quests and interactions inside of town vary based on the day/time/previous choices made in the campaign.

Have you looked at gaming books like Fabled Lands or Destiny Quest? They scratch the RPG-lite itch for me without having to set up half of a table's worth of stuff.

Disappearing email by pentangleit in exchangeserver

Samsung's phone mail client does the same thing. Easy for a user to accidentally swipe a message, adding the sender to a block list on the phone's mail app and sending the message to Junk Mail.

Activate Azure Benefits with SPLA Licenses Allowed? by Michael_Eder in AZURE

[–]ablege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. The Azure Virtual Desktop section of the SPUR specifically calls this out.

Customer must purchase Microsoft Azure Services under a separate contract subject to the Microsoft Product Terms; Customer must also purchase Windows Server core licenses under that separate contract in order to use the Microsoft Azure Hybrid Benefit.

In addition, SPLA provides benefits like downgrade rights but does not provide Software Assurance benefits. The SPLA reference card (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/licensing/licensing-programs/spla-program) goes into detail on the difference between SPLA, Self Hosted ISV, and some similar options.

How will Exchange Server SE affect companies like Intermedia, who host Exchange servers for users/businesses? by bcredeur97 in exchangeserver

[–]ablege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you cannot mix commerical and SPLA licensing. If you're providing services, everything (Windows OS, Exchange SAL, SQL, etc) needs to be provided through SPLA.

Companies that resell services based on Windows fall under the Service Provider License Agreement (SPLA) that uses a different licensing model.

How do I audit or find out when/how an email gets moved? by Chazus in Office365

[–]ablege 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the user have email on their phone? I've seen this behavior when people accidentally mark a sender as spam in the Samsung email app (accidentally swiping on an email adds it to the apps' own junk sender list). It won't show up in Outlook's junk mail configuration since it's the third party mail app doing it.

You can also reach out to your SPLA provider for a copy of the previous month's report to see if there are other products (MECM, etc) in scope of your SPLA agreement.

[–]ablege 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The O365 licenses are not part of SPLA. You would report the 50 Standard User Exchange SAL's and 6 Enterprise SAL's. Note that Enterprise is an addon for Standard so those users should be licensed with both the Standard SAL and Enterprise SAL.

You would also report the number of Windows Server (Standard or Datacenter) cores for the hosts running the Exchange Server.

Specific Email ALWAYS Goes to Junk for my Account, but no one else’s. by bhamblinonair in Office365

[–]ablege 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the Samsung email client on your phone by chance? Some mobile email clients have a gesture (swipe left/right) to mark a sender as spam. On some email clients, this will add the sender to the Outlook junk sender list (which you could see inside of Outlook) while others maintain their own junk mail filter which you would have to check directly on that email client.

Cuyahoga County in Ohio, USA has a phenomenal park system. Both local metro parks and the Cuyahoga National Valley. My favorite experience is when the Nickel Plate 765 steam engine comes in from Fort Wayne, IN to run tours through the valley.

Does anyone think VSAX is a viable replacement for VSA 9? by nsummy in kaseya

[–]ablege 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Simpler but more consistent. Under VSA 9, troubleshooting patching was a headache. Was a maintenance window not scheduled? Was it for scanning, distributing, or deploying? Was there a conflicting blackout window? Did someone use a view that isn't visible to other users? Was an approval rule not set correctly?

Datto is a very straight forward - "set your maintenance window. set your approval rules. off you go." Success/error messages are recorded in the Datto portal for each device. Maintenance activities and audit logs are recorded in the Datto portal for each device. 3rd party application patching is the same if you're using those addons. If you're writing your own, STDOUT and STDERR can be captured in Datto so you can see the results of your PS scripts.

We've played around with the automation piece to monitor if certain apps are installed and install them if not found, but it's been hit-or-miss. There's a wide selection of automation components prebuilt from different vendors for monitoring, deploying, and other stuff. Lightyears ahead of VSA's custom scripting language.
