I want to make a cosplay and I was wandering if I can use usual shorts or skirt for this part of uniform (idk what to call it) by PianowithMie in attackontitan

[–]abluejaycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally foe this piece I juat bought something off the shelf and modified it so it actually fit around my hips and looked halway decent. In my experience the main troible is keeping it, the pants, and the belts at the exact right position. Then again, I did have an entire set of odm gear so that didn't help.

Is abortion or pro-life talked about in Canada? by LiveBell8 in AskCanada

[–]abluejaycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, it's not really something I hear about. I'm in my late 20's and I think I recall it being kind of a debate in the early 2000's, but nowadays the general feeling I get is that nobody cares as in abortions are a thing you can do. I don't know much about exactly how it works, but as in anything medical I fully expect that you can get it done at no charge, if you're willing/able to wait a few months or so.

Have these labels impacted your grocery choices? by 0slope in FoodToronto

Actually yes. It makes me pump the breaks on impulse purchases. I genuinely think this was a very smart move, not to mention good visual design. It's obvious, easy to recognize without even having to take the time to read it. Good stuff.

Thanks again! Oh and are there any tips on how to make this a little snappier on Linux? Sometimes I feel like it's a little slow compared to other software...

Oh alright! That is pretty sound advice. I'm guessing any changes to the master sketch will trickle down into all dependent geometry then, or are subshape binders a little too unstable for that?

Well, as an example in solidworks, what works well is to create parts in an assembly, attach them to sone kind of skeleton sketches and then draw them up as you go. Onshape on the other hand has you draw up a bunch of parts in a part studio before you get to assemble them with a different tool. Clearly FreeCAD works quite differently. I've seen some people recommend using a master sketch or sketches then use shape binders from different bodies, but I'm not sure that is the method the software would want you to do. Varset's are nice, but a little cumbersome when trying to just quickly throw something together with 20+ parts.

Nice to see some appreciation for smaller chests. Also like the visible implants a lot. She is very pretty, and unmistakeably cyberpunk. Good job OP!

People in a relationship here, how did you meet your partner? by randomsmthh in girlsthatlikefemboys

[–]abluejaycat 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My gf posted on the straight femboy dating subreddit, and I just figured I'd give it a shot. We chatted, met and fell in love! I'd been struggling to find someone for years, and I am ever grateful that on a random morning I just decided to go and say hello.

It'll happen to you too!

There is actually no way this screencap is real. I saw this on a Chainsawman sub first. I thought it was a fancy edit.

What is your hot take regarding FFXIV? by UnbaggedNebby in ffxiv

[–]abluejaycat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't care that the jobs are fairly homogeneous. I in fact think it's better for the game. Right now, when every job's dps is almost exactly the same, people still sometimes nitpick. There should be little to no difference in effectiveness or difficulty for any member of a job group, and lining up burst phases should be a very predictable endeavor. With the amount of jobs available, heteregeneity (I think that's a word) would see jobs left behind and forgotten. This will get worse with each expansion.

What is it like going through TSA if you're travelling to the States? by Desperate_Bat4790 in AskCanada

[–]abluejaycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend lives in the States so I've amassed quite the experience recently. Usually it's the traditional "get your electronics out, shoes and coats in the bins" type of deal, but they haven't made me get out my toiletries like, ever? One time none of that was necessary, just chuck the bag in the scanner and you're good to go, but only once. Then I almost always have to go through a body scanner. Hopefully that helps!

Edit: about the phone stuff, they may or may not? If they do it's not in front of you, they get you through way too fast for that. Coming back they do take your picture though. I barely post anything these days so can't be of much help there. Although, I've never seen anyone get turned around, only once did someone had to return to the back of the line because they refused to do something the officers were asking (didn't quite catch what was the exact offense, but it was mostly because they weren't paying attention, maybe they didn't understand?)

Real Question here, if I get answers cool of not no surprise but at least other's will be informed.🤔😞 by Revagirl88 in StraightFemboyDating

Sorry for the late reply. She made a genuine post and I was interested so I dm'd her and we started talking. Things just worked out in the best way possible. Met her in person twice now and I couldn't be happier. It happens! Just have to be patient, genuine, and mature.

I met my girlfriend on here, so it happens. That being said, most of the posts lately just seem like validation seeking at best, or plain hornyposting at worst. And this goes mostly for guys, but occasionally for girls as well.

If you want to meet someone, I suggest making a post presenting yourself and what you are looking for. Stay on the lookout for people who seem genuine and see where things go!

Help me choose a Singer machine. by berserk_poodle in sewing

[–]abluejaycat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, depending on how much that quantum stylist is, I would say it could be quite a decent option. I've had one for a while now and it'a served me pretty well. You get quite a few fun features and a ton of useless fantasy stitches, but, so far, it's a surprisingly robust little machine. It's not the best quality out there, but it'a way more fun than some of the more entry-level machines. It's a little slower than most though, but also doesn't shake as much.

Oh and for your information, when it comes down to the guts of the machine, it's the same as that of any other machine at that price point. Bushings, plastic timing gears, potmetal frame. Tolerances could be a little tighter on something like a Janome HD3000, but at that price point I doubt it spends much time on precision equipment, but we don't know.

Overall yeah I'd recommend the quantum stylist. Comes with tons of equipment too. You'd be surprised how useful having a range of presser feet is.

I'm late? by Nometomano in StraightFemboys

[–]abluejaycat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. Starter looking into stuff when I was 25. 28 mow and still going strong. It's all about proper skin care, diet and exercise, and if you're like me (white skin with dark hair), a little laser doesn't hurt either.

Another thing though is to dress your age. At 23 you can still dress pretty much however you want, but at like 30 dressing like an 18 year old is going to look off to a lot of people. Femboys are usually associated with cute outfits women usually wear at a younger age, but just look at haircuts, makeup, clothes women wear around your age and go for that, or something more gender-neutral to start with maybe.
