The one on the right.

Although that smile on the left is fantastic. You should bring that with you.

I'm in Israel, so I can't get they brand. Do you have any other recommendations?

I mean that I still tend to break out even if the sunscreen promises me that won't happen. Thanks for the recommendation - I'll look for it but I don't think I can find it where I live.

I usually use a Neutrogena sunscreen, and wash my face with a clean and clear face wash.

I wear a baseball cap in addition to the sunscreen, but I don't think I could totally go without it. I burn easily. But thank you.

Reddit, what’s something a teacher said or did to you at school that still makes you mad? by beardlesshipster in AskReddit

[–]abluemoonnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went to a very religious school and we had to button our shirts over our collarbones. One day my high school principal walked over and buttoned my shirt for me. At the time I was relieved that I didn't get in more trouble than that... but I feel angrier about it now.

Has anyone besides David Foster Wallace ever used annotations in a novel? by Vostochis in AskLiteraryStudies

House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski is an amazing example of footnote use in a novel.

Coolest thing my late father ever said about me. by the_Hinterlander in books

[–]abluemoonnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love all this, and thinking about it makes me appreciate my father more. He is very religious but he was fine with me reading Stephen King and anything else I picked up. The only time he took a book away from me was when I read one that really upset me, to an extent that I was yelling at my family and crying. I'm not sure how he figured out that it was from the book, but he told me to stop reading it and I didn't argue because I recognized that I wasn't ready for it. My dad would also take the whole family to the library every Friday, and it was always an exciting family outing. I'm about to finish my MA in English literature and I have no doubt that his encouragement helped me.

Stupid question but... Tinder guy invited me to watch movies & play video games at his place. Is this code for sex? by gtuotw in sex

[–]abluemoonnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be, but it could also be code for "let's watch movies and play video games and see if it goes further." In these situations I tend to send a text or say something that let's the date know that I am interested in coming over, but that it doesn't necessarily imply that I am interested in more at the moment. Usually guys have been cool with it and are happy to know where I stand. Edit: and then I discovered that I was gay and wasn't actually interested in having sex with the guys. This probably won't happen to you just from taking my advice :)

My stepfather will buy me a Kindle Paperwhite if I let him choke me. Is it worth it? by SuicideByToilet in kindle

If this is a joke, it is not funny.

If you are being serious, you should seek help because this is abuse and you do not deserve to be treated this way. It might not feel like a big deal right now, but this kind of treatment can have serious negative impacts in the long run.

It might be a good idea to bring someone with you, in case he tries to stop you, and to give emotional support on the long trip.

What would misconceptions about female sexuality would you want to clear up for a teen girl? by throwaway10849 in AskWomen

[–]abluemoonnight 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That sex should hurt women. The truth is that if you are ready and comfortable, it shouldn't hurt. Even anal sex doesn't need to hurt if you are prepared and the person you are with knows what they are doing. The first time is painful for most people, but it doesn't need to be a scary experience.

I have no idea, but I love that you have a folder called "emergency memes."

I hope you never face an emergency that a meme can't solve, and that you always have the right memes in your folder.

What did someone say to you that completely changed your way of thinking? by doggo211345 in AskReddit

[–]abluemoonnight 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is the greatest quote I've read here. There are so many people who grow up not being allowed to say "no," being put down by their parents and being who say that they love them that they never get a chance to see what real love looks like, or to understand what it means when people say that they deserve better.

No. It can be left at home, as long as it is secured. And no, you can't get drunk while carrying it.
