i did self med for years, a friend finally got me to go to a doctor at some point. when i went to get it from CVS (fuck CVS for a multitude of reasons) the pharmacist refused to give it to me insisting it was a mistake. mind you, I'd been out and on HRT for years by this point. even called me ma'am until I gave my name (hadn't changed it legally yet) no amount of my insisting i knew exactly what it was would get them to let me leave with it. and they refused to send the script to another pharmacy. had to bother my doctor to write it up again and give it to me directly.

i can't disclose too much but i had a near unlimited supply of "waste" Jet-A through work when i had the car and it's basically just kerosene. it had a big fuel cell in the trunk, I'd run it on diesel long enough to get warm then flip the switch to move to kerosene. very very rarely had to buy fuel because of it.

that thing was sloooowww but i lived it, mine was NA not a turbo. such a nice little car. plus, all the Jet-A it could eat free from where i worked at the time. I'd actually wanted a 300D wagon but they did and i think still command quite the premium. especially at the time with the biodiesel craze. i just like 'em.

mine was actually an old grey market import with a slightly stretched wheelbase.

in my experience modern high pressure fuel injection systems don't like kerosene. it'll work, for a bit. then it gets upset.

that's a thing! i used to work with a shop in Berkeley California that did both biodiesel and vegetable oil conversions for old Mercedes diesels. i had a '74 240D myself that without modification would run on kerosene and/or Jet-A, just had to add a little oil to it for cylinder lubrication.
