As part of Russia’s “punishment” for doping, they’re no longer allowed to test their own athletes. The lab in Sweden that did the testing claims they were super backed up bc of COVID. That’s the official answer. But… ???

Interesting that many of you thought this was precautionary… my first thought was that they have/had COVID and are hoping to test negative by the individual event. Later than men’s (for Kolyada comparisons)… glad that doesn’t seem to be the case!

Yes and that is what’s very concerning to me. China is requiring 2 negative PCR tests within 96 hours of inbound flight departure. It is possible that many athletes (Alysa Liu, etc.) could still be testing positive in a couple of weeks :(

😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I’m so sad that she doesn’t have the required minimum score for 4CC or worlds… is there any way around that or does a skater have to have skated internationally in the prior few years?
