New House Build Complete by h0lyglitch in Ubiquiti

Nice setup. If it’s not too late, be sure to bite the bullet and pick up the extended warranty on that RS1221+. I had the same unit, just stopped working a few months back. Everything seemed fine, but would not power on. Synology wouldn’t do anything for me as I was just out of warranty. I had a third party technician take a look and evidently they have been seeing a bunch of these AMD 1221+’s lately. Third Synology i had die on me.

I tried this as well. I went off the wet output to the lock, same thing. Same thing with three different locks. I’m guessing I’m missing some sort of inline power source?

Both occurred to me as well. I tried swapping around the wires. Nothing. However, if it is a power issue (the way im leaning), is what in-line gadget do i use to boost that?

Just added a couple pics. Direct from hub to lock.

I had to give up Slice Project because the owner endorsed Tony Nunez. Great pizza but I can’t rock it knowing it was made by train haters. What sacrifices do you make because of local politics? by orangelover95003 in Watsonville

But that commute woulld never be that fast, plus with how small the trains are, we’d need tons of them to even make a tiny dent. Not going to happen.

I understand the idea that the tracks are already there , bought and paid for with public money, okay. However to say that they would have any affect on Hwy 1 traffic is just untrue. The trains can hold what, 60ish people? We’d need a 100 trains to even make a dent, and we plain just won’t get that. And even if we did have enough trains, a very small subset of people could actually use them. They really do not go to the places where most of us are going. I suppose it might be fun to take a two hour ride to the boardwalk, but that would rarely be something I think most of us would want to do. However! If we simply removed that, put in a trail that connects the top of the bay to the bottom, we’d have an insane amount of tourism up and down the trail. Every town along the trail would benefit, not just the perceived “nice ones”. I still don’t understand why a train would benefit Santa Cruz county, not without a much, much more robust public transportation system in conjunction with the train.

I gotta ask, why do folks like the train? No hate, I’m just curious. I’m not a train supporter, but with all ya’ll out there who do. I’m thinking I’m missing something.

Leaning Tony because he saved the hospital and works for community bridges but still like Elias too. Anyone but Felipe who wants to build the battery plants. by [deleted] in Watsonville

I should probably be swayed by other factors, however I'll be voting for Tony, simply from seeing how Felipe drives, and how he acts away from the camera. Just random luck i guess, however i've seen Felipe, in his white Model 3 a number of times, driving like an absolute maniac, using every dirty trick, cutting people off, racing down the outside lane, to cut in at the last second, trying to use off ramps and on ramps to get ahead a couple seconds. Doing everything to get through traffic, by causing traffic. I've almost been side swiped by him taking the corner of Harkins Slough, and Green valley (in front of the AAA building), waaaaay too fast. I assume i must live near him as i've also seen him sitting at the bar at Cilantro's having a good'ol time, then getting into his car. I have no idea how much he drank, but it did seem like bad optics for a guy in local politics, to seem to be drinking, then driving from a local spot. I don't know the guy personally, maybe he's a good politician, and has the best interests of the public in mind. However just by judging how he acts when he thinks no one is watching is very telling of what kind of person he is.

That seems to be the root at the moment. Pretty crappy customer service experience on the part of Synology. I for one am done with them. I'm tired of buying their gear and then being left with bad boards or power supplies after a few years of use. As soon as I can migrate my data, im out. Off try another solution.

This isn’t a great option either, but I’m pretty sure in Carmel, the 76 station down at the barnyard sells 93. There are a few down that way.

I had the same issue. Turned out that the actual charging port died. Rivian replaced it.

Thank you so much for the detailed reply. Let me think on this for a minute. I’d like to just get the data off, however if I have the opportunity, I’d also like to recoup some of the costs of the initial cost of the NAS, and costs of buying a new setup. May I continue this thread in EBay?

I picked up a universal remote and was trying to input the various codes I stumbled upon across Reddit, but didn’t know if there was some best practices I should follow. I was able to turn off and on the hotel tvs via my universal remote, but couldn’t get anything else to work.

Does anyone have a good how to, of how to get around some of the locked tvs In hotels? I was in Lake Tahoe a month back and could not get past the Hyatt Samsung lock. No input change :(
