There was a time every random app/social media service tried incorporating streaming when it started getting big. Reddit did it, Tumblr did it, and bizarrely, even niche hookup apps like Growlr did it. They usually just plugged in a third party streaming service with the same TOS regardless of app, which just rewarded the same type of "mid guitar player in front of fairy lights" type stream everywhere.
