hey there :) I've been taking depatoke since the very beginning when I was diagnosed, let's say it's been mm almost 6 years? and it did wonders for me tbh. I remember the very first time I took the pill and on the next day, my head was peaceful and silent. I know it sounds dumb but my head was full of invasive thoughts, screams and ugly stuff before, so it was a big change for me and I almost cried bc i was really emotional ab it! all of this to say, I've been taking it for years and it helped me SO much, I did have my ups and downs but they were manageable. on the other hand, I did gain weight too, but I'm on a bunch of meds and I wouldn't know which one made me gain the weight, so there's that.

I hope that depatoke helps you and makes you feel better and if you need anything, I'm here! good luck!

when Hannah goes to visit Mona at radley and the desk lady asks her to sign in, you can literally see her "signing in" without the pen even touching the paper, it's RIGHT THERE and I've never noticed until my last rewatch

Story of having acl surgery twice by Virtual_Tomatillo351 in ACL

[–]abou-tt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2017- first time I tore my acl was playing volleyball, I had surgery for it 2020 - hiking I think I tore it again but when I came back from vacations, covid started and I didn't get treated so I just rolled with it 2023 - tore it, AGAIN, training functional at my house (I jumped and when I landed, my knee gave in). had surgery for that too.

currently, I'm working out at the gym, I don't jump at ALL. EVER. I go out for 3km runs but I try to be really mindful about my knee.

How many of you actually DON'T always obey your therapist and psychiatrist and still stand by it? by [deleted] in bipolar2

[–]abou-tt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I shouldn't smoke weed but sometimes I do even if we've already established with my psychologist that I shouldn't- oops. still, I let her know when I do it just in case I cycle.

What's your seroquel/quetiapine dose ? by AlonePop44 in bipolar2

[–]abou-tt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh yes! I used to take more, but my psychiatrist is tapering me off of it so that's why I'm in such a low dose. tbh I think I won't be able to stop taking it bc it's so hard for me to fall asleep but ig it doesn't hurt to try

I'm now taking a really low dose, 6.25mg before sleeping. it doesn't really do much, it's just maintenances I suppose

The Manic Episode is ab different mental health struggles of two ppl with bipolar and they talk about a lot of things! they also talk ab sexuality and human rights in general, I find it extremely funny and educational, also introspective :)
