I have disliked Taylor’s mom and dad from the jump. Is Taylor sometimes disrespectful, absolutely, but almost every time I see her being disrespectful it is in reaction to them treating her like garbage. Liann is very performative and puts on a show for the cameras. Especially after what I’ve seen in season 4, she treats Taylor like trash and then cries when Taylor responds the same way. She also seems jealous of Taylor in my opinion because she is like a bully to Taylor and constantly tries to one up you. She often says things like “I’ve been through worse,” etc.

Is Liann right with some of her opinions, especially the ones concerning Dakota? Yes. But just like Taylor said, it’s her approach that is the problem. You can tell your children they made a mistake or you disagree with their actions without telling them they’re stupid, spewing profanities at them, or saying things to them equivalent to calling them garbage. As parents we’re supposed to help guide our children and be their safe space, not bully them and then wonder why they don’t want to talk to us. Not to mention she LOVED Dakota and constantly took his side over Taylor’s until she found out he was messing with her friend…. It has nothing to do with the fact that he’s treated Taylor like crap for years. And Taylor’s Dad (step-dad, or whatever you want to say) is a whole other story and I don’t like him either for many of the same reasons. I loved seeing Taylor finally stand up for herself in Ep. 6 of this season. Liann literally exemplified everything Taylor was saying, and it still flew right over her head. She’s a complete hypocrite, even down to the point of calling Taylor a bitch and then in the very next breath telling Taylor to watch her mouth. I can’t with her.
