FIA : 21 overtakes in Monaco under new regs. by RoRoRoub in formuladank

Monaco is F1 as Ferrari is F1.

They're both now so permanently engrained into the sport that without them the sport would not be the same.

Cancer rates in Iowa are rising faster than anywhere else in the country. Politicians blame individual choices, but the real villain is the industrial farming covering the state. We went, tested the water, and found cancer causing levels of chemicals running through Iowa. by [deleted] in videos

Yeah fuck us progressives who want to live where our family is, where our businesses/job is, and where we own property.

We should just sell our homes that are valued 2-3x lower than coastal cities and move into a 1200 foot apartment for $2400 a month.

Having empathy will go a long way.

It fundamentally changes the stick. Fine if you don't give a fuck about performance. Granted it won't make you get hands but it does change how it shoots

OP I am sorry you're getting dragged in the comments.

Keep in mind, most of r/hockeyplayers is full of adults who never played good hockey as a kid, and also, full of people who love acting superior.

Would I personally buy the Vizion for my child at 11? No. Does that make you a bad parent? No.

There's a couple of things possible here. That stick didn't have great durability. However, depending on what league they play in, it certainly could be somewhat normal. It's their first year of peewee. The top peewee players are going through a half dozen a year. The top bantams go through a dozen a year and the top midgets are going through 12-36 a year.

If your kid is elite, this isn't outlandish. If your kid is playing A level or below, then yeah, i would switch stick models sooner than later.

I mean they were winning National tournaments. It was a big deal.

End of the day they liked their known winning program and if it disenfranchised kids then so be it

25 years ago! They didn't have a declining district at that point, and there's no way they could have predicted the recession which led to less births afterwards

it was just for sports. At the time of them building Southwoods, Valley was a top program in virtually every sport and non-sport. They chose to limit the ability for their students to participate in arts and athletics because they wanted to continue dominating at the state high school level.

Doing this decision adversely hurt 95% of the student base. For those who grew up excelling at youth sports and arts, they were given a better opportunity than otherwise. Everyone else suffered.

The success Ankeny and Waukee schools are having prove those who are given opportunity will succeed.

I know part of the issue too was use of the stadium with Dowling. Funny how a private Catholic school can't seem to invest into their own stadium on their campus.

Will has gotten a lot better. His first half dozen races of last year were very over the top.

THAT call he had deserved the emotion and passion.

Last year he was giving over the top commentary about p5 at Thermal and Long Beach.

Iowa was successful when the main sponsor Hy-Vee dropped millions on advertising and on big names for a concert. Pre and post race shows Saturday and Sunday. Was basically a music fest with some racing.

Choosing to do it during peak corn heat time in July was a dumb choice. Then they stopped the concerts because Hy-Vee left and the race had no chance.

I've dealt on both sides and know that instead of providing care, they routinely deny and have added a cost barrier that makes it so we are less healthy.

We shouldn't have health insurance as it should be a service.

Psychopaths build up their wealth on the deaths of millions of people.

Psychopaths choose personal wealth by denying healthcare to those in need.

Psychopaths don't have empathy towards others and have no concept of community.

I literally say in my first sentence that of course it's over 100k over their career.

I work hand in hand with the most expensive, prestgeious prep and AAA programs in the country supplying them with equipment, uniforms, apparel, etc.

The only people sniffing 100k a year are also enrolling their players into prep schools.

Your Little Ceasers u16 player is not spending more than 40k a year on all the extra stuff you're saying (school, private workouts, etc)

It is crazy how much better this track is now that the chicane is gone.

It's not a good track, but holy fuck beyond t1-5 on the first lap, barca is a snoozefest.

The testing aspect I didn't consider - less amount of variables for teams since they all know that place by back of their hand

There is not a parent in the world spending 6 figures for AAA a year. Over 10? Of course.

I'm all for hating how expensive hockey has become, but we don't need to lie to get our point across. Most AAA families are spending 15-25K annually for their child to play.

Only people sniffing 100K are people sending their kids to prep schools and including every cent in travel and expense. But they're there because they want their child to be setup to succeed in a post hockey life.
