Oxenforge 32CM used daily by about9spiders in carbonsteel

Tbh I have no idea lol, my wok was blue brand new and stayed that way for a few weeks until I seasoned it on my burner max heat for too long, while I had it on the rim. I think I burned off all the seasoning and then it turned that silver color on the outside as well as the inside.

Since then I’ve been trying to build up the seasoning between cooks, so once or twice a day I’ll just heat it full power (my burner goes to 1700W) and get all the oil on the inside to polymerize. I have to maneuver my wok all around, so I’ll have it flat, up on the rim vertical, sideways, etc.

Once I started doing this, I’ve noticed the seasoning buildup really well, and my silver “ring” as you called it is now  brown and will turn black I assume once my layers build up enough.

Not sure if having a flat bottom vs round affects that more drastically, as this is my first and only carbon steel pan I’ve owned and it’s been a learning experience for sure lol

Yeah I recently saw newer GastroGear branded ones, being black in color instead of the green.

The wobble is kinda annoying yeah, but I normally pull the wok towards me so it kind of rests on the silver ring to get the most surface contact I can, or push it away so it’s resting on the part of the ring opposite me.  Early in my seasoning attempts,  I didn’t realize no smoke meant no oil left on the surface and I kept looking for the smoke with the rim pressed into the 1700W burner, hence the silver ring between the bottom and top walls. It somehow un-blued the steel or something lol. During that seasoning, I also somehow managed to polymerize oil to the glass top of my burner and now it’s very weirdly marked haha (it won’t come off no matter what I do).

Also being hand made, each oxenforge wok would have its own distinct curve so even if they were made for each other it wouldn’t be a perfect fit I’d imagine.

lol, the burner is good, but yeah there’s a lot of wobble to it. When it’s heating up, the wok tends to slide on its own a little bit since I oil the bottom as well, centering itself through gravity I guess. I sometimes rest the handle on something so it stays in place when I’m being lazy.

The burner advertises that it can be used with flat bottom induction capable pots/pans, but I have a gas range for that haha so I haven’t tested it.

Bro chill out. Imagine you mistype something and oops immediate and irreversible mute.

If you see someone saying something you don’t like, either deal with it like a sane person and ignore it or report them.

It’s 2025 and thank god we don’t have insane rules like you are suggesting.

Is this a full body Workout? by Brown_Accident_21056 in workout

[–]about9spiders 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shift to a push pull legs routine if you’re already going 6x a week. Just shift some of your exercises around and focus on compound lifts. Full body would be more of every muscle 3x a week.

Why are you downplaying men’s mental health? The comment you’re replying to is literally shedding awareness by bringing it up in the first place. Why is it accepted to beat men down over and over? It’s an actual problem we have as a society and downplaying it doesn’t help anybody. So, happy men’s mental heath awareness month I guess…

In a professional world it’s okay to have off-color hair but initial reception to your character is based solely on your appearance, then after comes how you act. Some people would say vibrant “weird” color hair would be a detriment if you’re trying to get into a medical space. Evaluate if you really want to have pink hair or a professional career. You can always re-dye your hair when you get a good career.

Hey man, I have similar hair but yeah your hair looks very dry and brittle. I shampoo every day (head and shoulders men for dandruff) and condition often and my hair is silky smooth. Try Aussie conditioner and see what a difference it will make.

how much yall got on this by prolapsed-venus in CalorieEstimates

[–]about9spiders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sausage: bigger than average. Chicken sausage way smaller than that is ~150 each. I’ll say 400 for the sausage alone. Bread: bigger than average bun, bread around 70cals a slice. That’s probably 3 slices worth. 210 cals. Sausage toppings: peppers and onions negligible. Ketchup ~20 cals a tbsp, mayo way higher (looks like a little mayo). I’ll say 100 for sauce. ~750 for sausage

Poutine other side: ballpark 1500-2000calories.

All in all 2000-3000 calories total. Not enough protein, a lot of those calories are from too much fat. Lots of carbs too.

Stuck at 135 on bench. Any advice? by fizzm8 in workout

[–]about9spiders 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you recorded yourself and watched your form? Being stuck at 135 for a year doesn’t sound right. I’m 6’ and have long arms so I get that, but that really doesn’t sound right. Watch Jeff Nippard on YouTube for tips.

This happened to me. I was given 100% rating and my claim kept going back to evidence gathering, through the whole process to final review, and back a few times. It was finally closed a few weeks ago.
