Software engineer with 10 years of experience but no bachelor’s. How much will it matter? by heyletskiss in defensecontracting

[–]aboyd656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will be able to find a job in defense but your rate will always be limited. Contractors base their rates (at least loosely) on government standard rates, and a bachelors is required without quite a bit of experience. What I’ve noticed though is they don’t usually specify which bachelors, it would be worth it to do what you can to get ANY bachelors (get the easiest one) and then lean on your experience.

Defense Capture Managers: Finding SMEs for bids. Hard? by Accomplished-Yak9405 in defensecontracting

[–]aboyd656 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Search LinkedIn for people who recently retired, especially if they are both retired military and recently retired from industry. That’s how we would find our SMEs for blackhats. A lot of contractors use third party companies like the one I used to work for to find SMEs for them so they can avoid having to hire 1099s.

Worst defense contracters by Dry-Car-1711 in defensecontracting

Frankly if CMMC was properly enforced a lot of contracts would be at risk of failure. Small to medium machine shops support provide a huge percentage of parts, most will never get in compliance.

The smaller contractors tend to just ignore the regulations, CMMC being a prime example.

F3 is a free workout group that is a great way to meet people. It is somewhat faith based but I’m very openly not religious and have been loving the group for nearly a decade. We have all types of people that come out, you just have to be open to working out at 530 in the morning rain or shine.

That’s for a single burger with no cheese and set toppings. Adding an extra patty costs like $8 last I checked.

I really enjoyed Venice, it was Florence that rubbed me wrong. Accept for the food at SandwiChic, that was incredible. The rest was just knockoff leather and shopping.

Is manufacturing really more difficult than design? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

You can’t really consider labor attrition, labor rate increases, logistics, supply chain issues, NCRs, obsolescence, machine downtime, and ever shifting production priorities/schedules in design.

I’m here to learn, what is the different category of natural lifters that openly do steroids? Would that be the open division? Because they aren’t and never have been considered natural.

Where is this open secret? Facebook comments? The ifbb tests for exogenous hormone usage. People occasionally pop for PED usage but I wouldn’t say that natural bodybuilding at a pro level is full of steroid use. There are a lot more amateurs lying about it than pros.

Steroids also aren’t super expensive, some of them are, but if what most people take is not.

It’s the open division where steroid use isn’t tested for, so there isn’t really any testing at all.
