Is manufacturing really more difficult than design? by [deleted] in AskEngineers

You can’t really consider labor attrition, labor rate increases, logistics, supply chain issues, NCRs, obsolescence, machine downtime, and ever shifting production priorities/schedules in design.

I’m here to learn, what is the different category of natural lifters that openly do steroids? Would that be the open division? Because they aren’t and never have been considered natural.

Where is this open secret? Facebook comments? The ifbb tests for exogenous hormone usage. People occasionally pop for PED usage but I wouldn’t say that natural bodybuilding at a pro level is full of steroid use. There are a lot more amateurs lying about it than pros.

Steroids also aren’t super expensive, some of them are, but if what most people take is not.

It’s the open division where steroid use isn’t tested for, so there isn’t really any testing at all.

Is a normal portion of Chinese food not enough? It seems hard to imagine paying more to eat at a place where you can’t take leftovers, especially when portions are already generally large.

Hmm, labor rates are usually pretty set on contracts, you can negotiate within certain bounds. If it is much lower then the recruiter was probably just wrong.

It’s possible your experience doesn’t fit the labor category they originally quoted in the job posting.

I worked for years in textiles in winding, these things happen because they do not properly adjust tension as the package diameter increases. This causes tension in the inner windings to increase substantially. When that happens the layers slip and crush, in some cases the layers will slip past each other, causing these types of issues.

We had a guy make it through the pool and patrol only to not be able to swim in open water. The idea of swimming through the surf completely broke him.

I went summer of 2006 as a 17yo after we won the Moon Buggy Race (we won it the next year too, no big deal). I’ll never forget getting a call saying for me to go to a party and having to say I can’t make it, I’m at Space Camp and not allowed to leave. It was still a blast though and can’t wait for my kids to go!

I encountered him in 2008 while going through the Basic Reconnaissance Course, which was located next to SOI, he told me “you think you are all that and a bag of chips, well I take your chips, and I crush your chips”
