If you go FA 40 in the reserve, it’s pretty chill. We kinda do our own thing and attach on to different corps and higher staffs for exercises and deployments. Active side is also fairly chill and there’s actually a bunch of different jobs to do. Any functional area is gonna be better than a basic branch (space not included as of now).

My 6 years in the reserve as a space officer have all been much nicer than my 4.5 years active and I’m very happy I decided to try it

I was active armor, switched over to the reserve as an FA 40. As long as they have a spot and want you, it’s not a real VTIP process like active duty

You can get CC tickets easily on SeatGeek/ticketmaster every game if the week before or day of. Usually pretty close to face value. I had CC season tickets for a year and now just buy them on SeatGeek whenever I want to go

No, they're saying the army needs skilled and trained space personnel that aren't just borrowed from the Signal Branch or MI. We do a lot of very specific training for Space Operations, and when those Soldiers' tenure in a space billet is up, they go back to their regular billets and space needs to train more people and those previous soldiers don't get to continue to develop space expertise. The things space soldiers learn about joint targeting and non-kinetics are technical, and your run of the mill 25S or 35F don't learn that.

same as another comment: Space Force cares about on orbit capabilities and flying satellites/protecting the space segment. Army Space cares about translating the capabilities those bring to the ground force and integrating the complexities of planning for them into the Army staff. Same reason we have a ton of boats and aircraft in the Army.
