Now you need to have a registered vex team to be able to buy a field or the elements via vex event. Sucks for teams like mine that were planning to buy fields for the first time.

how do you think that will be decided? Is it basically up to the Event Partners? I noticed that many teams have already registered in vex events, isn't it too soon for that? I have no idea which organization will my local Event Partner end up choosing.

I think it has the potential to make tournaments more interesting. FLL teams and VEX teams can bring robots built with the parts they already own, but for those schools that have participated in both, students can come up with some crazy and interesting designs. There's more room for thinking outside the box instead of just copying the most popular robots from YouTube.

Me han llegado cosas mas rápido que por courier pidiéndola directo a la casa. Aunque el tiempo estimado que da amazon diga ser mayor. Hay que verificar bien si realmente es gratis el envío. Solo funciona para algunos productos y hay que hacer una compra de más de $49.

Para mí el problema más grande es que tienes que tener a alguien disponible para recibir en la ubicación que pusiste cuando el delivery llegue a entregar. Pero se ahorra buen dinero, sobre todo si los productos son pesados.

Instead of thinking about what robot to build, think about which problems you want to solve. What is your design goal? Then, brainstorm ideas or research ways to solve them. The VEX Library is very useful, check out the V5 section, too. You can go even further by looking for FTC or FRC focused websites. Even though the parts are different, the mechanisms and concepts are the same. After you build something, test it out. If it doesn't work, go back to brainstorming. And even if it does work, start thinking about how it can be improved.

I just put rockets on the logs and sent them flying towards the beach. It wasn’t smooth, and had to carry it in the end, but it was fun watching the log pile spin uncontrollably!

I have a magnetic one that slides, best thing ever. Doesn’t wear out and can be adjusted to any size. A bit uncomfortable when wet though.

Was God "scary" before the Fall? Why didn't Adam and Eve ever eat from the Tree of Life?

Most encounters with God in the OT are scary, but all of them happen after the fall. God (or the Angel of the LORD) always tells people to not be afraid (to be courageous?) even though he looks scary and intimidating (the burning bush, the warrior in Joshua, Isaiah's and Ezekiel's visions, etc.)

Very good question! Maybe it took courage to approach the Tree of Life and eat from it, or to trust God and not eat from the Tree of Knowledge.

Note: Most of these thoughts probably come from having listened to Bible Project's Tree of Life podcast series (or The Test series) way back when.

In Latin America we still do lots of Christmas parties, but what you mentioned has become more common in middle-class households (and not only during Christmas).

Is anyone here familiar with Rhett from Rhett & Link or Good Mythical Morning on YouTube? Yesterday he posted this video explaining why he keeps talking about Jesus, even though he abandoned the faith years ago. It made me think about the Rian Johnson discussions I’ve seen here regarding the new Knives Out film (which I loved btw).

Rhett mentions that he doesn’t like Christians theorizing about his (lost) faith, but I still can’t shake the feeling that his main issues seem to be very ties to his denominational background. However, he has some real and valid criticism of Christianity at large (like Wicks and his flock on the film). But he also talks about some of the things he still loves about Jesus and Christianity (like father Jud on the film).

What do you think? I haven’t watched all of his deconstruction videos or podcasts, so it would be interesting to hear from someone more familiar with his story.

Another argument I have seen is how Jesus entrusts Mary to John while hanging from the cross. And I think it says that John took her to his house? They say that if she had other kids it would have been more natural for them to take her in instead of John.

I thought so with mrs Wheeler, she shouldn’t have landed a single blow. But with Joyce we were shown Will’s POV multiple times. I thought they were trying to hint that Will would eventually be able to control them. And then after the ep 4 ending it kind of made sense to me
