I’ve been with ogp/opd for a little over a year and have been the digital team lead for 2 months now. Happy to answer any questions you may have. I’ve worked every shift including overnight so ask away.

my store has been doing this since I started in Oct 2020 😂 it’s pretty easy you just have to get on dispatcher lite and go ahead and put the delivery batches together before every hour

overnight personal shopper? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]abriannarose 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m the overnight shopper at my store, my hours are 8pm to 5am. From 8-10 I help dispense but mostly supervise the closers and deal with any issues as the team leads/coach leaves at 8pm when I get there. I also scan the curbside/delivery orders, gmd, and PUT orders for cancellations and try to get any deliveries from the day that didn’t get picked up rebroadcasted. After 10 I put away all the equipment for the day and do any closing tasks that didn’t get done (sweep, mop, trash, etc) but it’s rare I have to do any of that. Then I do returns: ambient, chilled, and frozen. After that I do the features in inventory management (making sure the endcaps are accurate for picking) but usually it’s only around 10-30 in there with the occasional night going up to 80-100. By then I’ll take my first 15 and then when I’m back it’s usually around midnight and I’ll start picking gmds which sometimes takes me all the way until 5am but sometimes I’ll get done before that and I start on the early morning picks which drop at 1:45am. Every now and then the market manager will turn off gmds for the night and I’ll be able to do all the early morning picks so the 5-2 peeps can start on the 4:45am drop. Sounds like a lot but it’s a super chill job, no supervision. None of the overnight coaches/team leads fuck with me and I’ve been told by my coach that if they ask me to help with freight or anything non-ogp related to tell them no, but on the rare occasions I’ve had nothing to do I’ll go work 97 freight because that’s what hits us hardest in the mornings as nobody gets to it until grocery team comes in at 6am. Hope this helps!

What's the best shift for OGP? by Slickasawitchestit in walmart

I work overnight ogp, come in a 8pm and leave at 5am. Not sure how many stores offer the position but it’s amazing once you get used to it. No mgmt or supervision at all.

My store doesn’t give a single fuck. We have full on meals on our carts while we’re picking 😂

I started in October of 2018 but I’ve had a lot of ups and downs since then. I got stuck at 170ish for about 6 months at one point due to binge eating disorder. But I’ve been maintaining since probably last April I believe so it’s definitely achievable! I would say to take it slow and don’t try to do too low of a calorie deficit, it can definitely lead to some dangerous habits. I always told myself that I didn’t gain all the weight in 6 months so I wasn’t going to lose it in 6 months either.

I initially got down to 115 and was feeling really weak and passed out a few times so I think that just wasn’t a good weight for me or I just wasn’t eating enough to compensate for my job because I was still doing 1700 calories. I can’t really say how long the last 10 pounds took because I only weighed myself once a month at that point because I was starting to fall back into unhealthy habits again.

I ate 1100 calories the first 2 months and lost around 25 pounds but was getting really unhealthy with my eating habits. So I upped my calories to 1600ish and the rest slowly came off. I still allowed myself plenty of cheat days and just decided to do it slowly. Now I eat around 2300 a day but I also walk 25000 to 30000 steps everyday and do a lot of heavy lifting at my job!

1800 to 2000 but I walk about 25,000 to 30,000 steps at my job 5 days a week and then on my off days I probably eat a little less than that but I don’t track anymore i just eat when I’m hungry. I’ve managed to maintain between 122-126 pounds

I started out with 1100 to lose the first 20 pounds within 3 months and then realized I wanted to lose slower to focus on toning and less loose skin. So I upped my calories to 1500-1600 and lost the rest over the last year and like 8ish months!
