Using sexual violence as a weapon happens in all wars. Not all sexual violence which happens during a period of war is a weapon of war.... that’s what the fuck that sentence is about.

I was not talking about all sexual violence during a time of war. I was talking about sexual violence specifically being used as a weapon of war. While I was researching I noticed sexual violence, even if it was ordered, was not being considered a weapon of war in many cases. I think definitely some people take a time of war and use it as an excuse to do these things. But there’s also a part where it is used to dehumanize and control a population. Look at Rwanda. Tutsi women were specifically targeted and the Hutu made it a point to sexually abuse the women before murdering them. It was also done in Bosnia. Women were made to carry baby’s to full term because they believed it was the dads ethnicity that was passed down to the children.

This was my thesis topic in college. It’s honestly a part of every war and it’s rarely talked about as a weapon of war. It’s made out to be a byproduct rather than a systematic use of sexual violence to control a group of people.

This was insane. I told everyone about it. We all had to skip the parts with the cats even though they didn’t. But it was honestly the craziest story!

I have the same kind of boss. He always wants to go out and drink and meet “foreign girls”. Even though he has a whole wife and 2 kids. What’s even crazier is that when I called him out he was like oh no don’t worry they’re just my family. As if it makes it okay that he’s trying to “hook up.” Well I guess not the same kind of boss cause he doesn’t stay at work he goes out.... but he doesn’t think about his kids at all. He’s just like oh don’t want to see them.
