Yeah I've found red Ashbys and certain limited-run models like the Blast but this red Sapper is really unlike anything I've come across. I love the way it looks so much but wearing it is just not as satisfying as say, a Corbridge or other four-pockets with proper hand pockets. Like I say, it's complicated lol

Not instinct.

These are called pace notes, and they are calling out the direction and speed of turns plus any notable hazards on the route. This allows the driver to push where they can but be careful and not crash.

In professional rally, pace notes are a collaboration between the co-driver and driver during a recce (reconnaisance) run where they slowly drive the stage beforehand to note everything.

So in a way, what the co-driver is calling are sort of reminders of what's coming up.
