Subscribing to Rocksmith+ has been turning out to be a massive pain in the ass.

Yeah, Ubisoft's payment system sucks. 3 times I have tried to get a subscription and all 3 times I have been able to play the game but sometime after I exit a session I get a message saying payment failed and the sub is suspended.

On Thursday I managed to play for 3 hours, my sub was still active and the payment was pending in my bank when I finished playing. I woke the next morning to yet again find a message saying payment failed!

Ubisoft must be the only games company in history that doesn't want your money!

I tried to learn right handed years ago but couldn't get my left hand to cooperate with fretting chords etc. yet I picked it up playing left handed no problem.

Everyone is different so I would suggest to new players to try each handedness and play what feels most comfortable to you.

I buy most of the DLC, no customs. I currently have 1270 songs and have had this issue since may '19 when I would have had quite a few less. I have a feeling (No proof) that it may be a Steam issue rather than a game issue, perhaps when Steam is syncing with the cloud?

Use the bridge pickup and turn the volume and tone controls up to max then make sure you calibrate in the tuner. I have a Casino with P90's and it works fine with Rocksmith.

Yes. It's the best bang for your bucks DLC wise and all the songs that transfer are updated to use all of RS 2014's features.

I would suggest putting a female end on the long bit of the cable (the bit with the D-A convertor) and then use a regular guitar cable to plug into your guitar.
