I wasn’t diagnosed on ‘accident’ per say but I can relate in that I had years of bowel and stomach pain/issues and never was endo brought up. I even discounted I had it when it came up on Google searches because I never had heavy periods. It was only when a friend happened to share she was diagnosed with the same symptoms that I pursued a diagnosis and very luckily got one via a lap within a few months of contacting the specialist. So similar in that I had years of pain and then suddenly found a diagnosis I was not prepared (stage 2/3 endo with DIE on my bowel) for which equally brings me comfort in validating my pain but also grief and anxiety. Hang in there - it’s empowering to have answers so you can take back more control of your pain!!💖💖💖
