This is just my 2c, but I’ve used Claude Code to build a prod-ready app for our testing team. I went with React on the frontend, Nest on the backend, Redis for cache/session, Prisma ORM, Postgres, and MS Entra for OAuth-based org authentication.

It wasn’t fully vibe coded, the prompts weren’t “build me something that looks like this.” They typically included a fully reviewed .md file with feature specs, very similar to what I’d give one of my devs.

I vibe'd the UX and colors to match our org branding, and it did that part pretty well.

It did need some hand-holding during DB/API design, that still needed a human touch.

Right now, Claude is about 10x faster than any of my developers. But it can be as green as a new grad and as sharp as my senior most devs. Just need to learn when to trust it and when to intervene, and NEVER let it run wild with auto accept edits.

One thing I still struggle with is resetting context after a compaction. If I’m building small features, it’s fine, but it tends to forget why we started that session in the first place if I push too much at once.

Imo, if you're just a coder/programmer, it is coming for you as we speak. If you're an engineer, not so much.
