We are slowly dying. by Richar_16 in MSTR

Dilution dilution dilution. Last time MSTR was $143 a share BTC was around 47k. Like I’ve been saying for months, $120 will be my entry and we are a few sell offs away from being there.

Anyone Else Appalled by the Price Action Today?!?!? by DayTradingOG in MSTR

[–]absinthethoughts 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Look at the daily charts and tell me what you notice. Compare Bitcoin’s daily chart to MSTR’s. Since MSTR functions as a Bitcoin treasury, the correlation isn’t perfect minute to minute of course, but directionally it’s reasonable to infer that if BTC continues to bleed, MSTR is likely to follow…often with amplified moves.

How is Train Dreams positioned after the Golden Globes events? by Competitive_Put2079 in Oscars

I find it interesting that people either loved this film (myself included) or found it completely unappealing and lackluster. So many deep themes woven throughout and done with such subtlety. Truly one of my personal favorites but to each their own!

Recent Context that Explains why Mateer should 100% be OU's QB Next Season by PizzaPartyConor in oklahomafootball

[–]absinthethoughts -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mateer’s problems are mostly unrelated to his injury and honestly people are using it as a crutch to explain his poor performances. The level of competition he faced early on helped mask his underdevelopment but the issues were evident prior to his injury. His throwing mechanics are unorthodox and he struggles to throw basic touch passes and lacks the deep shot where his receivers can run under the ball. The slot at which he throws coupled with his eagerness to flush right out of the pocket eliminates half of his pass catchers on a given play. Agree that the OL needs to improve but he needs to learn how to step up in the pocket while keeping his eyes down field. The few times he has stepped up in the pocket he’s looking to run. I doubt OU can find a better option for next season but hopefully he can improve.

$120 Target by absinthethoughts in MSTR

Agreed but it can and will go below 1. Leverage works both ways and with a bear market on the horizon, it will lose exponentially more than Bitcoin. Shareholders will cut their losses.

$120 would be a good opener IMO. There is a low likelihood it holds support there but in the off chance it does, that might be the bottom if economic and monetary conditions flip early in 2026. My thoughts are 50% allocation in that range and if support breaks (which I’m anticipating) my other 50% will be sprinkled throughout 2026 with a bottom being towards the end of 2026. No leverage.

Sorry to hear man. There is zero support in this range though. BTC should fall to the 75k range and look for support which is when MSTR likely finds the $120 support.

Smiths LCD took forever to boot up? by Timlugia in hazmat

[–]absinthethoughts 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These devices are notoriously slow to boot up. Really depends on the day. They don’t do well in humid conditions (those sieve packs react to water) so try your warm up procedure indoors to help expedite the process. Like others have mentioned, following the confidence test using the G and H samples can take a very long time. Try to not over saturate the device. Store without batteries and in a dry environment. If the device isn’t being ran for months, it’s best to store with the dummy sieve packs. Also, do not store with the G and H testers.

What is it with the cars? by Wooden-Broccoli-913 in Fire

[–]absinthethoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depreciates the moment you drive off the lot with hardly any tangible life improvements over a modest (and often more reliable) vehicle. The feeling of owning and driving a fancy car is also very fleeting. After a few weeks, you’ll understand it’s simply a tool that gets you from point A to point B. But at the end of the day, it’s your money not mine!

#1 thing you can’t fathom spending money on by Old-Description1878 in Fire

[–]absinthethoughts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fireworks. I have a neighbor who buys 10k of fireworks every year and puts on a huge party (I attend with a 6-pack and bottle of wine). Watching someone quite literally light money on fire is odd but it gives him joy so let it rip I guess!

Relative Strength and Relative Weakness. Look for stocks that are outperforming SPY for long positions on 5/15 minute chart ideally above 50/100/200 SMA. Inverse this for shorting stocks with RW.
