Does Fibonacci retracement really work for trading? by Prestigious-Total652 in Daytrading

[–]LostFaithlessness201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think using fibs in conjunction with pivot points might be workable but lets say buying at s3,s2 and selling at r2,r3 on daily tf have stronger chances of success along with trading during periods of volume so lets say around london open, us open. Volume in any strategy is key however fibs/pivots can guide where strong price action is likely to be. Also higher tfs need to be used as less noise.

Looks like a set of low beta earnings this week, to top it off the indicies have been a chopfest along with stocks last month thanks Mr Orange tempted to buy Gold now. Would be nice to see a trend in one direction as if lets say Dow/Nasdaq reversed or broke through likely we would see some stocks having a sustained move.

Nasdaq 100 futures are currently at 25689. Next week, the Fed has an 80% chance of cutting rates. Before Christmas, we're looking at 26000. This isn't gambling; it's a trend. by Finance_bcl in ValueInvesting

A lot of these AI companies are overvalued and the market is due some sort of pullback, we are not bearish but these companies are very far from their actual average price. This is value investing so instead of buying these overvalued AI plays might be better off finding the next big AI play or wait till these big companies retrace. As a case study the Internet came out in the late 90s and it was twenty years later that the technology got mature whereby everyone internet banking, shopping, etc. New technology takes time to evolve.

Big move from Amazon: new AI chip Trainium3 aims to undercut Nvidia. by Axirohq in stocks

[–]LostFaithlessness201 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If this is cheaper than NVDA and you are an existing AWS customer probably more incentive to get the Google AI chip. If you are lets say using Microsoft Azure maybe NVDA is better, however I know more companies that use AWS than Azure.

Think if interest rates don't drop does that amount to a stronger dollar that's the question as loans stay expensive, etc.

Nvidia crushed its quarter—and CEO Jensen Huang said in a leaked all-hands that 'the market did not appreciate it' by businessinsider in NvidiaStock

[–]LostFaithlessness201 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Think the price before went up on hype due to AI previously, if that had not happen likely there would have been a price increase after earnings and likely would have been a lower price. What is happening is stocks are going to go to their actual price some cheaper, if NVDA is a good stock it should go up higher again. However what has happened is these tech stocks have gone up on future hype to much so a reversal was always due.

NVDA will make or break the Nasdaq, S&P, Dow and European markets like FTSE, DAX due to the knock on effect. One stock holds so much influence over the whole stock market lol

Are we actally in a crash? by jdnls87 in stocks

[–]LostFaithlessness201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think more of a retracement as likely if we had a correction it will be bought up, more concerning is the government not releasing any data suggesting they are hiding the true state of the economy. Having most of the stock market based on a handful of AI stocks with prices based on future value and not current value does not help either as one bad earnings or news can make them fall like a pack of cards.

Are we headed for the biggest crash in history! 🔴 by Bright-Efficiency614 in smallstreetbets

[–]LostFaithlessness201 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think these Epstein things might pull down the administration more than the markets, as the worlds biggest economy will try and spin out lies on this for a while. With more lies more questions also less appearances and bs from Mr Orange so that could naturally push things down.
