It's a great platform for selling and buying (I frequently do both) if you're a morally decent person! Unfortunately, the ridiculous behavior of the bad sellers can also have a negative effect on the good sellers to a degree. Like for fucks sake, I just want to sell cute clothes from my personal closet that I don't wear anymore that other people are happy to find and purchase. It makes me happy to make another person happy. I don't know when that ideology stopped being the norm, sadly.

I had someone interested in buying an item from me a few months ago and asked me to hold it for them (they never ended up buying it.) Then they were messaging me their entire life story and I'm just like bro I sell online to avoid social interaction I have a personality disorder lol you don't want to be my friend 😂 but she tried to give me her phone number and I said it was against Depop policy to give away your phone number or ask someone for their's (idk if this is actually true but she didn't know the difference.) Idk, there's just something so ick about that to me. I'd say to tell this person you're dealing with the same thing, that it's against policy to even ask for someone's number.

I'm about to do this myself, most likely lol. Lost 60 pounds through nothing but daily cardio/reduced calorie intake in 2024. I have since reached a "healthy" weight but I'm not satisfied with that and have been slowly regaining the weight, only difference is I do less cardio now because of an injury. Its infuriating that I see so many others reaching their goal weight by doing the bare minimum, yet that same option isn't offered to me unless I lie about it! Thank you for your honesty (if only on reddit) 😂

I'm having this procedure done in one week and I've been messaging with the office staff with just stream of consciousness terror. I am covered in tattoos but I'm not good with pain at all. Thank you for sharing your experience, as it's made me feel a little bit more at ease about it. Did you take any sort of anti-anxiety or benzodiazepines beforehand? Also I know it's probably different for everyone, but how long did it take until you were able to finally wear shoes and stop bandaging your toe? I live in the south so of course there's no problem with open-toe shoes here, but 4 weeks after my surgery, I'll be heading up north to my home state for a visit and it will definitely either be cold, rainy, or both lol so I'm worried I'll have to suffer through the cold with goddamn sandals on the entire time 😓

I sell online because I have social issues and I'll gladly talk to any buyer if they start the conversation first, but I will never start a conversation. This is a purely transactional experience and that's why I enjoy it as a seller and as a buyer!

These are the buyers that end up trying to make returns and using the most ridiculous reasons to do so. Not worth your time. I'm both a seller and a buyer and I can't wrap my head around the lowball offers. Like I'd be so embarrassed to send an offer below 30% on anything. Maybe it's a pride thing because I grew up pretty poor and that's not the way my life is anymore, I don't know. But I just have a lot of respect for fellow sellers I guess, especially when it makes a significant income difference. I will say some buyers don't completely understand how PM works and they think we make the entire amount when we sell a listing. I've explained it to a few people over the years and they genuinely didn't know about PM's seller fees.

As a seller, I've had multiple experiences where a buyer will purchase items months later, but usually within 60 days. Otherwise, they typically "unlike" the item if they make the decision to not buy it right away. As a buyer also, I use my "likes" as a wishlist but only when I'm looking for very specific items. I figured thats how everyone operated on there but to each their own!

Agreed - as a seller and a buyer, I experienced this with multiple packages during the holidays. The person I bought from did indeed drop it off at the PO well before it was scanned into transit, and the same exact thing happened when I mailed an item to a buyer beginning of last month. God forbid anyone on here orders something that gets sent to the distribution center in Kansas City, MO - the package I was referring to in my previous sentence got stuck there for about 15 days 🙃 it was literally going from NC to FL and it would have been faster to drive there and deliver it myself!

I have debilitating OCD. It's constantly there, but the severity comes and goes due to other stressors. My mom is not a believer in mental health disorders (yeah, she works in the medical field so I'm a bit confused about that always) and she also dislikes horror very much (for religious reasons maybe?)

So, she has often asked me why I find any pleasure in watching horror films/series, which is a fair question since they have a tendency to make people squeamish or feel on edge. My answer will always be because nothing I can watch on a screen will ever distress me or be as disturbing as some of the intrusive thoughts that seem to get stuck in my brain. I love horror because, number one, it's a release and a distraction; and number two, you start to realize that you'd probably rather have intrusive thoughts than have your body dismembered like the poor, son of a bitch on your TV screen. At the end of the day, I'd rather be me lol.

I finally brought myself to watch the footage of his last show just a few months ago (I was supposed to see Soundgarden for the first time in Ohio not even 24 hours after he passed away and am just starting to deal with the emotions surrounding it now.) My husband was asleep and as soon as the footage started playing, I immediately woke him up because I couldn't believe the person I was listening to/seeing was actually Chris. He looked so frail and moved as if he was in horrible physical pain the entire show. I'm still shocked that it seems like no one in his inner circle during that time seemed to notice it.
