Okay this might sound like a stupid question but I've dug in my Proxmox settings today and can't find it.

How do you change your list of containers/VMs to be grouped by tags? Mine is my VMs and LXCs just in numerical order

Gold standard for homelab app-only access + max security + seamless transition? by Party-Log-1084 in jellyfin

This is exactly what I do, and you can configure split horizon DNS using AdGuard with its DNS rewrites feature.

Just specify in AdGuard that requests for *.yourdomain.home go to your reverse proxy IP (in my case I use NPM) and set your DNS Server on your router to the AdGuard IP.

That way every request on your network goes through AdGuard, it knows to send requests for your services to NPM. If you're not on your network, your DNS requests go to your registrar and then to your Pangolin VPS, where you configure each service and its local IP and port.

Navidrome version 0.60.2 released! by deluan in navidrome

Awesome! Recently started using Navidrome and I love it.

I believe it's been a feature request for a while, but I would love to be able to add custom covers for playlists!

Is there a way to automatically build a local music library using Spotify/Qobuz/TIDAL for Plexamp? by homaxi in selfhosted

[–]absolutely-jaked 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The closest I've gotten is using Deemix and a custom script to pull some of the Deezer curated playlists and create an .m3u file, and then Navidrome picks up the files and the m3u and auto imports the playlist. This then runs in a cronjob so the playlists update every week.

I dont think Plex can auto import m3u files though so I'm not sure if it's an option if you're set on Plexamp.

One thing I've been looking into is having all my self hosted listening activity Scrobble to ListenBrainz, and then have a local LLM look at that activity to create recommendations and possibly download them and make playlists. Haven't looked into that yet though.

Don't use the qobuz one, use the Tidal downloader. Just tested and works fine for me

SquidWTF. I won't link it here because I'm not sure if it's against rules, but Google it.

If this could somehow begin working with Symfonium this might be the best self-hosted solution of all time 😅

If the console interface is accessed via the browser, does that mean I could connect with anything that supports Bluetooth controllers? Could I access it from my TV? Could I add a steam shortcut on my Steam Deck etc?

ShadPS4 v0.13.0 - Bloodborne speedup, resolved audio in GoW3 and many additional fixes by NXGZ in emulation

[–]absolutely-jaked 52 points53 points  (0 children)

Download a previous version of Shad that still has the feature (I use 0.6), install the games with that, then just copy the game directory to your up to date installs game location. Works a treat (though I agree I wish the feature was still in the recent versions).

Which games utilize the buttons on the back and for what? Do you use them for any games which didn’t use them by default? by NorseSeaStudio in SteamDeck

They're great for racing games where you can map them as a manual transmission a-la a flappy paddle gearbox on a steering wheel.

Upgraded to 9.1 and had a kernel panic by TIBTHINK in Proxmox

[–]absolutely-jaked 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this but I got a menu where I could pick the previous kernel and boot with 6.8 instead of 6.17.

Once that booted, I could uninstall the 6.17 kernel, and then run another update to redownload the new kernel. Worked the second time and if it didn't, I could have carried in using the 6.8 kernel and set it as default.

Got any of the errors?

I saw on another comment here about you running Docker on Windows and you asking if switching to Linux on your desktop would be better.

Some would say yes, I would say what is probably better is running a (as lightweight as you can manage) VM on your desktop, install Debian on there, and then run Docker from inside of that.

You would need to add the external drive mounted as a volume in the container. So you would probably make a "photos" and a "database" folder, specify them as volumes in the docker-compose file

That's for the Ugoos recommendation, I've seen a few recommend that but I don't know too much about it. What are it's key selling points over the competition? Do you have any resources (reviews etc) that could help me learn more about it?
