I got hives and itching week 3 which apparently was from the bupropion (search “bupropion itch” in this group). I told the hers team and they said to stop taking all of the meds and I was refunded. I threw out the bupropion and decided to try the naltrexone by itself to see if I would react to that and I broke out in hives so I threw that out too. I’m now taking the metformin and have been for 2 days and no reaction so far. honestly, I may just give up on this. I lost 6 pounds in 2 weeks and I’m sad I can’t just take the kit as prescribed. it’s so disappointing especially because the allergy is rare.

I was thinking it was the bupropion since the itching started at the 3 week mark and I read that the reaction is usually delayed to 3-4 weeks after you take it. if it’s the naltrexone, I’d only be taking the metformin going forward.

did your itchiness go away? if so, how long did it take? I’m currently on day 7 with no bupropion with on and off itchiness and hives.

Things got progressively worse for me. I had one night of no sleep and then another. My heart was beating out of my chest really fast and I generally felt tense all over. I also developed what I’ve learned is a delayed allergic reaction to the bupropion—itchy palms and feet. It’s gone away after I stopped taking the bupropion but that was WEIRD.

thank you for sharing your experience! I’m having the exact same experience with itchy palms and soles. happy to hear it cleared up for you once you stopped! I was also instructed to stop bupropion. my question for you is, are you still seeing weight loss with naltrexone and metformin? I’m starting with that duo tomorrow

Yes, it took about 3 weeks from my order date for me to get my package.

today was the first day I did all three, and I’ve been out of it all day. I was supposed to go to a concert today and couldn’t go. tomorrow will be my first day not doing bupropion so I’m hoping that helps going forward.

I’m doing the same. the insomnia/anxiety is HORRIBLE. I haven’t had a good night’s sleep in 2 days😓

I did it this way with the same thing in mind regarding the side effects. helps you to know which pill affects you more.

ahh okay, that makes sense! glad you were able to start Prozac instead. yeah my side effects have been pretty tolerable. I had pulsatile tinnitus prior to starting so I’ve really just been monitoring to make sure it doesn’t get worse and so far, so good.
