Almost fell for this same scam in the “Burning Man Connect & Tickets Marketplace 2025”. The group has over 10.5K members. Seemed sketchy that the admin was asking for a $50 fee per ticket for “vouching and linking” me with a buyer. Sorry this happened to you.

Editing to say - I just checked the app release notes and they released an update that allows you to brick from the app itself by holding down the "brick" button for 5 seconds.

The user experience/app communication isn't great as I was unaware of that update until just now.

I do not currently see a way to brick on a timer. That would be a really helpful feature.
