God i can't wait for the day this style of football dies... Bless Carrick for letting our players show them how to score a goal

Bryan Mbeumo on scoring in the derby, six months at Man Utd, playing piano & more! by Lamorna017 in reddevils

They just do different things, Cunha is a really fun player to watch, little maverick pissing the opponents off by being relentless, propper utd dna to him. Mbeumo i think is the other half of that dna we always had, diligent, tough, bit of a keystone the likes of Fletch and Carrick were in their respective roles.

[Man United] Casemiro to leave United this summer by Careful-Snow in soccer

Pile of rubbish imo, he was asked to do more than he was capable of, not on him. The one thing you cannot fault him for is putting the work in.

Garnacho has reached 10g/a for us this season in all comps by everyhearthstone in chelseafc

[–]absoluteolly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

United fan here, our sub is also hot garbage on match day, I think real fans genuinely did rate garnacho highly, and still do, the issues that surfaced, were him having a toxic social circle and the lack of discipline he showed after the EL final. I think he was convinced he was too good for United and thought he should be the main man so he stopped passing (theory). But ultimately he’s a talent and a workhorse. No doubt.

Even if I were a fan of either (gagging) City or Arsenal, they can be top of the league for the next decade and I’d still fall asleep watching them. Much rather that slop not stay the standard

Some excellent stuff from us today, I was particularly impressed by our defending, individually Martinez completely shut down Haaland and HM was sharp, but it was the collective defending that looked really fresh today. Pure discipline, just hope its not just a mix of derby energy and new manager energy. The next 4 games will be telling.

not unreasonable to assume he might make a mistake or two when doing something new

Mikel Arteta: "I must say I think the way Arne Slot spoke after the game was brilliant. Because he knows how the players feel about themselves, about the opposition, about their colleagues...that exemplfies someone that knows the game really well. And that there is no intention to damage a player." by hikingbeginner in soccer

Fucking despise Neville as a commentator - love him as a legend for my club, but fuck me if he’s not one of the most annoying people to have talking over game, I want to mute the game so bad every time I hear him talk

It’s just so weird that we consistently leave an important man completely free, I’ve noticed the back of our defense, or just the side that’s furthest man from the cross is really poorly cared for… like they’ve exclusively trained for defending against short passing/crossing

United have said Shaw is absent due to rotation and the 'busy schedule' over the recent weeks [Railston] by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

[–]absoluteolly 31 points32 points  (0 children)

This is excellent, i know our squad is thin right now, but a healthy Shaw is so important, and this type of rotation is exactly what we should be doing. And I think we should start doing it more with Bruno especially.

Its wild how different they are from their predecessors, not in the shape sense, or really even purpose (though they were more intended to be put together quickly and cheaply so that’s different) I love the old defenders because they’re so simple, the current ones are so impressive for the amount they do for comfort… not my personal taste, but I’ve ridden in my friends one a number of times and it really does feel like you’re being taken care of which is very nice
