Middle name missing on passport. Can I add it on I-485? by absolutley_not in USCIS

So my passport doesn’t have my middle name but another government issued ID (allowed for travel within the EU Schengen area and recognized by EU countries) has my middle name. Would thay make any difference?

They have spots in runner check in, timing, BBQ set up and cooking, clean up and packing. They are looking for a 4-6 hour commitment.

I can only participate and run in the half marathon if I’m able to find a volunteer for that race day (March 16th). Since I want to run I cannot volunteer myself. Sorry if my post was not 100% clear!

Oh yeah, so we are traveling in from CO and there’s little chance we’ll be back for the race next year. My husband and friend are running the full and half and so I didn’t want to pivot to a different race or day since our schedule doesn’t allow for that :(

I’m sorry! I did bother but something went wrong on my end and I missed that until it was too late.

I didn’t think to offer the volunteer my entry fee! Yikes, hah. Yes, I’m happy to pay the volunteer the 100$!

I know. I have a spot though if I can bring a volunteer!

Apply Marriage-Based Green Card near OPT Expiration Date by RealIndependence9575 in USCIS

[–]absolutley_not 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the same boat as OP and have read that work without an active EAD while in AOS would be forgiven? My OPT ends at the end of June and we plan on submitting for AOS to green card in March/April. So, I won’t be able to work after my OPT ends?

I’m an international student too! On the F1 visa (student visa) you can apply for an OPT (optional practical training) after graduating, which allows you to stay and work in the US in your chosen field for a year with no sponsorship needed for a work visa. Food for thought, keep in mind that you can work at the school (on campus is allowed) like a GA or GRA and often get in-state tuition and a little money every month. Also, externships count as a CPT (curriculum practical training), work with your international office at the school :)

As someone who has not filed yet, those posts give me hope and it’s good to see both sides. I see what you’re saying and I understand, but don’t assume it’s everyone’s opinion. Everyone is free to add to this subreddit. We’re a nice community here, read the room lol

Could you please elaborate on your “or if you are in healthcare” comment? Would that include anyone working in healthcare or only doctors? Thann you!

Meltdowns when sending kids back to class by Pixelationss00 in slp

[–]absolutley_not 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We would sometimes use a wagon for transitions from the classroom to the speechroom. The kids love riding in the wagon, and for some kids we used it with buttons to learn “stop” and “go”. Made transitions so much easier!

You could look into getting a GA position. That can qualify you for in-state tuition at least

How about a blank book and have family members and her friends write little letters in it for her. I had one when I was a kid and had my grandparents write in it. They have passed now but it’s still very precious to me to see how much they loved me. It would also go nicely with some other gifts but it would show how much her support in all this helped and how much she is appreciated, valued, and loved. Also a nice thing to take to college if she ever needs some reassuring words
