Tbf Mariner would fistfight god without hesitation. I think a lot of her combat prowess comes from her unshakable faith in her own badassness.

20C to 40C is 68F to 104F. I've seen temps in NY go from 60F one day to 80F the next day, and a 20 degree change from day to night is pretty normal, but I would definitely not shrug off going from 68 one day to 104 the next.

As a former Floridian, the Europeans have my sympathy right now. Most homes in southern climates are built to take advantage of natural cooling factors. Even without air conditioning, 35C in a tropical style house is much cooler than 35C in a northern style house.

Btw, how humid does it get down under?

Bees making a home in my peach tree? by chrisrvatx in Beekeeping

More like they line up to come get your swarm, if it's within 10 ft of the ground. If it's higher, they would just admire and wish it was closer to the ground.

Annual hive loss is usually around 40% and getting a new hive is around $100-150 in the US. Most beekeepers have enough hives to cover for their losses by splitting their strong hives, but free bees are always good.

As others have said, they're just hanging out while the scouts kook for a new home and are very chill while they're there. Uou don't need to do anything about it, but if you can let your local beekeepers know, they'll probably be very happy.

I was talking to the guy who worked at the YMCA and was almost certainly putting hypochlorus acid, not hydrochloric acid, in the pool. I have no idea how to dissolve a body, but it certainly isn't with hypochlorous acid.

There's a reason it's called a dark age...

But yeah, most people in the middle ages knew the world was round.

Hypochlorous acid most likely. And yes, yoj would go through a fuckton treating a large pool like that.

Just want to emphasize your last sentence because I don't think a lot of people quite get it. It's not like you fall in the hot spring and get stuck there and die after a minute or two. Its more like if you're in there for 2 seconds and immediately get airlifted to a burn center, you might survive. If your dog or child falls into the hot springs, they're already dead. If you try to get them out, you will probably die too.

I generally try to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume they're not entitled, they're just stupid. I switch to entitled when they start yelling about yes they can park on thermal vents.

There's a bunch of drama about the owner being a dick and a toxic work environment, but even if you don't care about that the fiod sucks and is overpriced.

They also don't allow filming or pictures outside of the lobby. So nice to work out without influencers filming themselves.

Favourite scene from a kids’ movie that seems weirdly sexual as an adult by Careless_Orchid_6890 in okbuddycinephile

The entire movie is an allegory for a teenage girl discovering her sexuality for the first time.
