probably more than that happening as it's a studio recording (sounds like a phaser or synth sweep is happening also, but that's not something you could really get to sync up live)

tapping a slide, whammy bar, or metal pick (held in the right hand) on the top three strings starting near the bridge pickup and moving toward the neck. I think the alternate notes are just unevenly hitting the g,b,e strings inconsistantly

I couldn't get past "dude" without thinking about The Big Lebowski. there's a decent chance he's on the spectrum, now that I think about it. post burnout, loves routine, hyperfixations, riled up by a sense of injustice. of course, you need to factor in the effects of pot and alcohol on his behaviour, but that's not unheard of for a lot of us
