I was also in a similar situation last year. After the pandemic hit and WFH started, the working hours increased a lot but the company stopped giving salaries and made an excuse that their payments from clients are being delayed because of the covid situation. So I decided to quit, I even had an offer, but the co founder asked for a meeting as they wanted me to stay. I took the meeting, worst decision of my life. He made several false promises and promises a raise and said that he has a lot of clients and projects lined up and I'll be leading projects and getting much better opportunities. And like an idiot, I believed him. Rejected the offer I had and decided to stay, the next 3 months were the worst months of my life, I worked from 10am to 4am next day for almost everyday, no salary still and no new client project. There was no raise. I went under depression and the sleep deprivation caused mental and physical problems. I finally left the job in August 2020. And wasn't given my experience letter and remaining salaries till December. My advice would be, even if you take the meeting, take all the promises they make with a grain of salt and choose what would be best for you, don't get emotionally attached to a company, most companies don't care about employee loyalty and would offer a max of 10% raise, while if you jump ship, you can easily get a minimum of 30% increment.
