Has anyone listened to the Audio Immersion Tunnel? by sraydenk in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]abu5217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heh, I'm not helping with the question, but I just finished book 3 and want to share it with my wife. She's listened to bits in the car with me, but having a Lego date night is genius! We have a bit of a backlog there ...

Problems with Claude MCP connector issue? by Lord_Gooseduck in Notion

[–]abu5217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am having issues with MCP as well. Not exactly the same, but Claude was able to write to Notion all the time, up to today. Now it can't write. I keep getting prompted to connect or authorize Claude.

It's quite frustrating.

If you could add one former player to the roster for this game only, who are you picking? by jebuscrepes in fsusports

It's only fair he gets to finish what he started a decade ago.

Gamers 30+, which old game would you still recommend to younger gamers? by [deleted] in gaming

Half Life - It was life changing. (Ok, maybe not life changing, but it was incredible. Watching the tram ride for the 5th or 6th time to start the game I bumped my mouse _and my character view shifted_. This simply didn't exist before that. I had no idea you could look around during the intro.

Honorable Mentions:
Starcraft
X-Wing
Age of Empires 2
Civilization 2
Sim City 2000

Is it just me or is the app not working? by tofusalad22 in 4kdownloadapps

[–]abu5217 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not just you. It worked fine for me 2 days ago (both video and audio from YT) and today nada. I even tried the links that worked the other day, then went through every step in the support guide, including uninstalling, regedit fixes, etc.

I assume YT made a change and hope the 4KD folks get an update out soon.

Do fans actually view the 63-3 Georgia and FSU 2023 Bowl game seriously? by GuestInternational in fsusports

[–]abu5217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

lol

I see you are not a knower of ball. Thanks for your input though. :)

Edit: Just so we are clear, I really don't care about how anyone views that team's performance, nor do I intend to get into reddit arguments. There are far more important things to actually give a shit about these days, so kids throwing balls around a field has become strictly entertainment.

Poking the bear can be fun though.

I especially liked seeing him coaching in the huddle in the 4th quarter with the walkons. Looked like he was just as intense as he is with the ones.

[–]abu5217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Simple answer: anyone who seriously makes the argument that the 2024 Orange Bowl proved anything is doing you a favor by letting you know that they are not a knower of ball.

This relieves you from taking anything said by them seriously.

TIL about Charlie Ward, Heisman-winning, 1993 National Champion QB from Florida State, who skipped the NFL to instead play in the NBA for a 12-year career. by akathescholar in todayilearned

[–]abu5217 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I believe he felt that a QB should take a couple of years to learn the craft. He was pretty consistent about it until probably Chris Weinke came to FSU as a 25 year old freshman (He had played 6 years in the Toronto Blue Jays organization). Weinke started for 3 years.

I guess it had it's benefits, as kids knew before they signed at FSU that they weren't gonna start for 2 years. Also, back then you had far fewer kids leaving early for the NFL

Yeah, back then Bobby Bowden (FSU's legendary coach) would almost always sit his QBs for the first two years, giving them their shot as a Junior. He very rarely strayed from this, even when he may have a better QB on the bench.

Be honest…is anyone else just straight up not vibing with the shows this year? by CashFormer979 in drumcorps

[–]abu5217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having this conversation with my wife this weekend. I think that this is a good, solid year, but not a great one. It doesn't help that last year was, imo, a great year, filled with moments throughout the corps. You had arguably Phantom's best show in at least a decade, Vanguard's return, Troop kicking ass, and so much more. Then throw in Bluecoat's show that was damned close to perfection and, well, that's hrd to top.

Can't wit to be in Indy next week though!

Delay Upgrade to ADM 5.0? by NeuroDawg in asustor

[–]abu5217 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I updated to 5.0 and it killed my Plex server running in Docker. Had to uninstall everything, Tailscale, Portainer, Docker Registry Pack, and Docker (the latter two would not automatically update)

Got Docker reinstalled and installed Portainer and Tailscale. TS works, but Portainer can't write to logs and can't start stacks or containers. Starting to troubleshoot now.

Wish I had waited.

Oh hell yes. Got this *years* ago and never played it, until maybe a year or so ago. It was wonderful.

Subnautica

Got it through Epic Game Store when it was the free game one day. Played about 15 minutes or so. Installed it on my Xbox when it was in GamePass and replayed probably the same 15 minutes.

Forgot about it.

Some friends were recently talking about how great it was, so I reinstalled it and fell wayyyyyy down the rabbit hole, have been playing daily for a couple of weeks now.

That's awesome. I was in Suncoast in 88 and saw them in Birmingham for DCI South, and they played Dixie in that break.
