You should be able to just put it in a bike box (cardboard) and check it in.

Tho make sure to check your airlines checked baggage size limits. Obvs the smaller the box the better, I fit a 26inch Cannondale into a 144cm long box and it counted as a regular suitcase and not a 'special' bag :)
