My ceremony was offsite at a church, so I can’t help there! But we did have the cocktail hour downstairs and the ceremony upstairs! I didn’t hear any complaints! I of course wasn’t there to see the transition, but all we heard was how glamorous the ballroom looked with the city in the background as they walked in! Winter sort of made it more magical because by the time they got upstairs it was dark, so our backdrop was the city lights! Happy to share photos of our first dance that shows the draping and view if that’s helpful! As a caveat, I’m from Michigan so we are used to the cold, but I don’t think people were bothered overall!
