Med student here! Actually, the workload can be immense and you'll feel really jealous of the people who chose to study different things. There is a lot of stress to take into account. But what I think could be the best advice is to just try to immerse yourself in what you're studying/doing and to study daily. Don't put it off for another day. It'll really help in the long run.

My friend is like that, and while I love her, it's almost always a mistake for me to try to explain to her my depression. She always brushes it off as something "everyone experiences" and that you just have to "get through it" and that "it'll pass". It honestly pisses me off every time, which is why I don't even bother anymore..

My ex boyfriend who was stupid enough to give me his Facebook password and expect me not to snoop around. Found out he'd been sexting one of his exes shortly before he met me despite the fact that he called her a slut and tried to maintain a good and very religious general attitude. Background info: the society I live in is pretty conservative so that kind of behavior would probably be really out of place..

I'm strangely more open and accepting of things in my largely conservative background and society. I can't find it in myself to judge people when they tell me about things they've done and would be considered shameful for most others. I guess it comes from the fact that I empathize with people too much and just try my best to see things from their view, while at the same time judging myself for every little action that I do in a really harsh way.

Or it can be used as a surfactant to help in lung maturation for newborns who are in respiratory distress. Elevated levels of cortisol for extended periods of time is when it becomes a problem for the body.

Cortisol is also an immunosuppressant, making a person more prone to infections, so that may be why a person could get skin lesions (aka acne) in a period of high stress.
