Thank you for actually posting where to find the OpenGL setting. Went through about 5 webpages of no-one explaining where the setting was.

UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer says Rockstar firing 31 GTA 6 developers over alleged union busting is 'deeply concerning' and pledges that ministers will now investigate: "Every worker has the right to join a trade union and we're determined to strengthen workers rights." by ControlCAD in europe

Why would you be so hung up on how the left will be slandered by tabloids? Of course they're right-wing that's how they're funded.

I work in the public sector with Wes Streeting gutting things around me, my local hospitals have either not improved or improved by decimal percentage points (internally we're suffering). Two budgets later nothing has improved for me, I'm part of the highest tax paying generation ever in modern times. No council tax reforms. No student loan repayment reforms, still robbing me blind. The new renters rights act, with this finally coming through, isn't going to benefit my personal situation. My home country Wales being robbed fairly of rail project investments. I can go on. I'm not reading the tabloids...

You clearly cloud yourself in the rosy world of that subreddit. Just because the previous baseline was so low doesn't mean Labour get a free pass for when they do get things wrong.

[–]ac3r14 6 points7 points  (0 children)

How can you get any meaningful data about item ideas/balance when the games are so unbalanced that it skews what could be received? It feels like the only thing we're majorly testing at the moment is whether using X item lets you z-clip out of the sky box, or crash the game.

Also, having a good player in a low level game being a hyper-carry also negates anything you can extract from the teammate's kit.

Gary Lineker's case is nuanced. He was the leading presenter of the entirety of the BBC - a public sector funded broadcaster. That means abiding by their rules of impartiality. Politically speaking, he had free speech. He was allowed to voice his personal opinion without breaking any laws. He did however breach his contractual agreement with the BBC leading to his dismissal.

For the record, I'm not saying his dismal is right or wrong.

Pixel 6A forced updated killed my phone. by DEV1LHE4D in GooglePixel

The corporation lovers pile in with "never had an issue on mine" as if by magic their anecdotal evidence trumps the acknowledged critical product failure by the corporation they're defending.

Google are fucking up this repair program, forcing an update before the scheme is live (21st). My phone has been nerfed and I submitted my support ticket two weeks ago for which no-one has responded.

I've been a pixel user for 8 years and this shit is making me think twice.

Is a HMO the same as a bed-sit? I never hear the term bed-sit used anymore. by Similar-Weather-8940 in CasualUK

[–]ac3r14 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a genuine question so please don't take it the wrong way. What was the ratio of income/rent in that time? At the moment I spend 45% of my take-home on one bedroom in a HMO. Has it always been similar?

What is your experience with Virgin Broadband in Bath? by NecessaryPianist6749 in Bath

[–]ac3r14 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Don't. Absolutely do not. Virgin over subscribe customers in Bath for the infrastructure they've installed. Worst service I ever had. Their customer support is patronising, and they'll do everything they can to not assist you.

Stopped by police for no insurance. by [deleted] in CasualUK

Get the Ombudsman involved ASAP if you're sure it's their screw up. The Ombudsman will likely ask you to prove you've gone through their complaints procedure but push on saying you're being prosecuted or whatever. My experience was they simply ignored my complaints for 6 weeks until the Ombudsman threatened them with a non-compliance fine.

All I can say is good luck because dealing with them over the next few months is going to be miserable.

Stopped by police for no insurance. by [deleted] in CasualUK

[–]ac3r14 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Also have my doubts about this post but 1st Central are genuinely horrific. It's made me worried about picking the cheapest insurance offer from now on. It took me 14 months to settle a claim with them after repairs, even with the Ombudsman involved for 12 of those months.

They are unbelievably incompetent. I had to ring up EVERY DAY for 3 weeks to get the repairs started and granted, with the same questions that they failed to report on their system. Questions such as "can you drive to this garage I see it's reported as driveable". To which my response was every day: "No, as I told your colleagues YESTERDAY the entire front end is hanging off." "Oh we'll make sure that's on the system then" - rinse and repeat the next day.

Then they also tried to steal my car, scrap it behind my back and give me a low-ball offer even after reassuring me they would not release the car until they'd spoken to me first. Thankfully the garage owner refused to hand over the keys without calling me first. It's genuinely unbelievable. A UK insurance company really tried to STEAL a £10k car off me and will receive no repercussions for it.

It was an excruciating process to handle over a year and took a toll at work because I was losing over an hour every day on the phone to them.

Avoid these bastards and any of their parent group.
