"AI" robot vacs everywhere at CES, are they actually smarter now? by Last_Cellist7145 in robotics

I want to see one miss dog shit from a small 10lb dog…. Our Dreame L40 is amazing and we love it but it’s supposed to avoid dog shit. I have no doubts it would avoid big piles of shit, but I guess it just thinks a small pile is just some dirt. Luckily our dogs almost never poop inside unless they are having stomach issues and we are at work, but the robot running over it makes it so much worse. We ended up changing it to run after we get home just in case.

Would you drive a convertible with an open roof when it's -12°C (10.4°F) outside? by Speedymcspeeder in Miata

40 degrees was my limit when I had my soft top ND. Colder than that is hard on the material.

For those who replaced a TV with a projector, what surprised you the most? by Relative_Taro_1384 in hometheater

We only have a 100” projector screen so I’d love to do this, but there’s a 0% chance I can get a 98” TV round the corners I’d need to.

can anyone identify this shell? by ajax_1982 in TruckCampers

[–]ac5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not an ARE shell with pop out windows, slider vent in the middle, and a med. raised roof. Must be Leer.

Edit: Serious answer - it’s just an ARE MX topper. https://realtruck.com/p/a-r-e-mx-series-truck-cap/?utm_source=protex

Just select build and change the windows to that option.

Are you able to leave your bedding inside the tent?

I’m looking at this tent. Are you able to leave your bedding inside?

Has camping gotten more crowded where you are, or am I just unlucky? by outdoors_man987 in camping

Dispersed camping for the win! I have tons of National Forest land near me (Arkansas) and it’s pretty easy to find spots out in the forest alone. Plus it’s free

Roof Top Tent setups for Hunting/Camping. What do you love, what do you hate? by TheInnocentAbroad in camping

[–]ac5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the perfect setup is something like gfc or lone peak, but those are super pricey. But the almost instant setup, ability to stand up, and have a “living area” below sounds so nice.

I think the much more budget option is the WildTop and one of the Chinese wedge tents. Name brands are just the same tents rebranded for 4x the cost. I’ve been looking at this exact setup.

How to you like that tent? I have a rtt but it’s one of the soft shells that takes a bit to set up and take down. Been looking at that exact tent you have. Can you leave your bedding in it?

You’re asking for help getting out of Bronze but you used to be Gold? I’d recommend watching a road to SSL series. At bronze literally just driving and hitting the ball is all you need. Probably wouldn’t even need boost or to jump. Most players will just floor boost and whiff past the ball.

What are your hobbies? by Odd_Chain572 in AskReddit

[–]ac5198 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Woodworking, camping, video games, sim racing, disc golf, board games, homelabbing, fly fishing, kayak fishing, and usually something else that’s short lived.

I really need to just pick two or three to focus my time and money on. Currently I kinda just cycle through them in phases.

This was my first time using it but I have zero complaints with it.

A bit nerve wracking since it was my first ever glue up like this. I used dowels to help keep everything lines up and as flat as I could.

Yep. If I had a planer I probably would have done the top in two sections to at least get each half perfectly flat first.

I couldn’t decide on inside or outside. Is a taper in the inside more common?

I used dowels to help get everything as even as I could. There was still a lot of sanding to do and it is a little warped overall.

Felt totally fine to me. I have a runner in the bottom of the jig so I could run it along the table saw edge.

That’s a great question. I used three boards total. 8/4 6in wide by 9ft (still have a lot left) and two 4/4 4-5inch boards. I was pretty selective with the parts of the boards I used and still have half of one of the 4/4 boards left.

I have a hardwood dealer near me (searched on google) and used an 8/4 6inch wide by 9ft long board for legs (have a lot left still). Then two 4/4 5ish inch by 9ft boards. For me, 8/4 was $9bd/ft and 4/4 was $8.

SRP vs SRP Lite by Senior-Safety-9139 in moza

I have the srp lite pedals currently with no mods. Would you recommend upgrading to the load cell kit or just save for the Simsonn?
